November 26, 201113 yr Author my 1.4 gasoline motor can't load big alternators at 800rpm...that will turn it off.the amp aq 3500.1d have 1 x 4300w @ 1ohm (14.4), and I still think if use it at 0.5.i use stock bat 64Ah, and the 2 deep cycle, i haven't decided, maibe xs d3100s.I don't know what to choose.I'm sure the sp4 is better than n2 or mayhem in daily aplications.But in spl aplications, n2 can be over SP4 ?
November 26, 201113 yr That's totally dependent upon the application itself...a speaker isn't going to dictate whether it 'always' does 'better' spl or not.

Are you competing? The longer you want it loud the more batteries you better buy.

I run about 4k off of a stock 150 amp alt with two Deka's and I run into the high 12's
November 28, 201113 yr Author I still think about n2 or sp4 in my conditions I use it daily and i'm think the sp4 is a good variant, but I want to use it ocasionaly with another box for burping, and 4kw with low efficiency 86db is not a little power for that sub ?
November 28, 201113 yr 86db isn't efficiency, efficiency is writtin in % and not dB.Sensitivity is written in dB, and thats a totally different thing.Not really usefull if used for subwoofers.
