What size sealed portion for an ssd 12 in a band pass box on up to 1500 watts most of the time less.

Depends on the ported side tuning, and your goals.

Ok thanks, my total volume for the whole box can be about 2.3 to 2.4 after all displacements, i want it to be musical and loud.

What exactly makes you want to go with a bandpass box?

the fact that i have a bmw with a trunk that doesnt let bass through well and i have a ski hole. if i just do a ported enclosure in the trunk it sounds bad.

That probably isn't enough room for a proper bandpass. I haven't modeled it, but that is my gut feeling. It may work if you could budge a little on size and have most of the vent located outside of the box...

i modeled it on WinSD with about .7 sealed and like 1.5 ported and it models ok. ported side tuned to about 48 hz.
