March 4, 201411 yr I heard he was getting an original Funky Pup! Do you think the Iron Man Explorer could conatin the power of the Funky Pup?
March 4, 201411 yr People will never let the funky pup die, almost like beating a dead horse now. That would be like Chuck Norris dying, impossible!
March 10, 201411 yr Author So progress is being made! Woot Woot. Getting closer and closer to SBN. See the images below. I registered for Park and Pound for MECA and bass race for db drag. I know I said I would attempt to compete in SQ this year, but to do so in MECA, would be too costly for SBN. Here are some in progress pics of my doors and comparison of my previously installed Seas Prestige 7" mids vs my 12" Beyma mids The doors in suspect Rings made for the 26 pound mids A total of four rings were made per loud speaker
March 16, 201411 yr Author Sen are you doing all this work on your own?? Those rings look so pro and diesel Haha, I'm not, a local competitor who has his own shop is.
March 16, 201411 yr Author I have more updates! It has been a long rebuild and past several weeks. But with a lot of help of a few local personal, I'm just about ready for SBN. After I button everything up on Tuesday, I'll be pretty much done on the audio for the rest of the year. I've done the single sub setup for the better of 2 years and counting. Come to think of it, really this will be my fourth consecutive year haha. So, with that being said, I plan on doing a B-Pilar wall come November-ish. After SBN, I will be concentrating on lighting for my vehicle. First thing would be my headlight retro-fit. So here are some update pictures. My new sub will be here tomorrow, so you may expect plenty more pictures coming soon.
March 16, 201411 yr Author man- that is su-weet! Looking forward to seeing more. haha Thanks Leedogg! The glassing has started yesterday, and into today.
March 16, 201411 yr I'm liking the way it's coming together bro I'm eager to hear what it sounds like at SBN.
March 16, 201411 yr Author I'm liking the way it's coming together bro I'm eager to hear what it sounds like at SBN. Yeah me too Chuck! Man, just how I wanted, I know I've spoke my reasoning with you before. Looking really good. someone has skillz!!!! Haha thanks a lot Dexter! Yeah, he's a really good guy. He's essentially another mad scienctist like Shizzzon, except toned down a little to english language LOL! His name is Mike Smiley of Smiley Audio, anybody is more than welcome to hit him up sometime.
March 16, 201411 yr Author If you guys were wondering, I've been pondering this upgrade for quite some time. Obviously time and money is/will always be the biggest hold-back. The biggest reason why doing this, is to be loud, duh. But to also be different. Everybody else and their momma's has 6 tweets, 4 super tweets, and 4 6 1/2 mids in their doors. Yes, I've spent a pretty penny on my single mids, but if you add up the traditional route, or the common route as of late at least, you would come out just about the same. I've always wanted the loudest but yet, simplest system as possible. And I've think I've accomplished that. Because I have 2 horns (110 db sens, 2 mids(100db sens), and 1 sub(IIRC 91db sens). With the way things are configured now. The horns have about 100 watts to them at 8 ohms. The mids have 380 watts to them, at 8 ohms, and the sub will have 5800 watts, at half ohm.I don't know the exact pressure level just yet, that will be measured during the week. But non-the-less, if you ask anybody else who's heard my system, it sounds pretty darn good. I've always gotten compliments on how well the overall sound of my instillation is, and that's what I aimed for. The 12s will simply compliment what's already there, and I can't wait to dish out more demos!
