January 23, 201213 yr Author One more question, I found this box on ebay, since it's winter, and I don't have time to build my own, is it ok for SA8??8 INCH VENTED SUB BOX PORTED SUBWOOFER 40" PORT LOUD!Width: 12-1/2"Height: 10-1/2"Depth: 16-1/2"Cutout Diameter: 7-1/8"Box Volume (Cubic Feet Per Chamber): 0.8Mounting Depth: 11-1/4"Box Type: VentedBox Color: GrayBox Finish: CarpetMaterial: MDFMDF Thickness: 3/4"Dimensions (in): Width 12-1/2" x Height 10-1/2" x Depth 16-1/2"Ebay Edited January 23, 201213 yr by KYRGYZ
January 24, 201213 yr One Dual 2ohm driver wiring configurations:One Dual 4ohm driver wiring configurations:Depending on your amplifier's power rating, and stability at 1ohm, 2ohm, you'll want to pick the coil config accordingly.
January 24, 201213 yr It would be nice to know the dimensions of the port. With the dimensions listed gross volume would be 0.86 cu.ft. assuming the use of 3/4" MDF. That would also make the port 9" high and it says 40" long, the only unknown then is the width. If it is 1" wide you would end up with .51 net after port and woofer displacement, tuned to 33Hz with 9 sq. inches of port. Not really big enough but that's with alot of guessing.
January 24, 201213 yr Without the port area you can't find the tuning. If I was to guess, I'd assume it's around 40hz.
January 24, 201213 yr Author Thanks guys, I think my amp will be this Pioneer or something like this, because my budget is not enough(((Pioneer GM-3400T 2-Channel Bridgeable Amplifier with 350 WattsTwo-channel car amplifier with 350-watt max power capabilityDelivers 60 watts x 2 at 4 ohms, 150 watts x 1 at 4 ohms, or 75 watts x 2 at 2 ohmsSelectable low-pass filter (80 Hz, 12 dB per octave)Preamp- and speaker-level inputs for connecting to most source unitsAmazon
January 24, 201213 yr If you are looking for a decent budget amp you may look at Audiopipe. That Pioneer is a little underpowered for that sub.Personally I'd get a d4 and run in parallel at 2 ohm. Then later down the road if you want to add on you can buy a second one and wire down to 1 ohm.Would also look at buying an amp that is 1 ohm stable.

So still you think 1 sub D4 is better to choose than D2?
