My original thread was edited for unauthorized sales on an open forum :roflmao: Funny since I am not a vendor for any audio company.

Anyways, Crescendo has a new lineup of PA mids. Should be baddass.

Again I do not sell these. I am posting a new product for y'all to check out :fing34:

These things are super cheap. 25 dolla for the 6.5"!

Makes me want to give them a try.

Looks exactly like the bravox mid that comes with the three way setup.

Because they make use of carbon fiber material for the cone, and have shiny phase plugs?

Not sure man. I think the Bravox us a santoprene single roll surround. Looks like these Crescendo's have a coated cloth progressive surround.

Could be wrong though.

Yea they do except for that wild basket and motor structure the bravoxs have.

No, I do not think so, maybe a progressive style spider.

Funny as I have owned and listened to the bravox 3 way set. Have you guys? I was just stating they look exactly like them except the basket. I'm sure their specs are different.

You made it sound like you inferring they were the same drivers. I don't have to own them to prove they aren't the same speaker.

I apologize for reading into your response and taking it the wrong way.

Ah. I searched the Bravox site before I posted and I did not see anything other than a single roll :ughdunno:

How many does crescendo have?

I probably want 8, but it's going to be a few weeks with the new job before I can order.

The midbass in the 3-way set utilizes the progressive surround as well.

I know a secret about the "carbon fiber."

The $25 secret ;)

Friends don't keep secrets, and secrets aren't secrets if you tell anyone.

I can guess what your inferring, but it's pretty immaterial to me. :P

First glance, the SPL figures appear wrong.

Based on the listed T/S parameters the SPL (sensitivity) figures out to be 88db for the 6.5", 93.2db for the 8" and 94.2db for the 10"....which is anywhere from 3-7db less than listed in those specs. With those figures you are giving up A LOT of low end output for a smidgen more sensitivity than the "average" driver. Just rough-n-toughing it in Unibox the 8" is going to have an F3 around 120hz......

And I don't remember what the fuss was about these.....but I remember being more than annoyed with Crescendo's representation of them. I seem to recall them saying something absolutely ridiculous like they took the best from every Pro Audio driver but none of the negatives, no trade offs in the design, etc. Really? Because from an engineering standpoint that's not possible.

If they are cheap, I guess atleast they have that going for them.
