My girlfriend is gettin a system for her birfday and I'm bout to build the box, should I do sub up port back? It's a 02 wrangler 2door soft top. It's a single 12in skar vvx on a audiopipe 1000d at 2ohms. Box will be 2.2ft3 at 30hz

Its hard to say, with sub and port on same side, you have more options with rotating the box and testing it after its built.

Does she drop the top? If so down firing may be your best bet to keep the sound in the Jeep.

Without the top on you wont get resonance firing up. If you can, I'd fire both towards the rear.

Fire toward passenger side wall sub up port to side

I had a hardtop, liked port and sub back, and port and sub up, but since yours is a soft top, id probably lean towards firing to the rear.
