Just wondering because I can't find a metering place around me and I an just curious as to what numbers I'd hit with my set up.

In case it doesn't show up, I have a sundown 4500, two xs power 3400s, and a mechman 220a.

What enclosure would it take? And do you per chance, a metering place around 30905? Or keywords to type into google to find one?

Way too many variables.

150 DB is not like making cookies out of a cook book... far from..

you cant take X and ad X and = 150.

and 150 is not easily achieved

Well, he is tuned to 40hz.. Pretty high and will help him with the numbers, depending on how well his car generally meters and how well his car is deadened I could see it happening.

1.9 cubes per sub???? kinda small...

  • Author

It is kinda small, but I'm asking if the mechanical stuff it self can do it. If so, I am thinking about trying to wall my subs.

No doubt in my mind its possible. but its a hard goal to achieve.

The volume of the cabin and enclosure alignment will play huge roles.

I see you mention a high output alt, but don't have one? Is the 4500 at it's potential, or gained down until electrical is upgraded?

If your going to wall your car, you mine as well go with larger drivers (15, 18).

I've got one and updated electrical, I haven't updated that yet. I'm on my phone, sorry.

Online meters only go up to 130dB I thought?

hit up shizzon, hell get ya on the right track for a budget meter

i see people in here saying things they have no business saying,

if you dont know shit... dont say shit....

BTW. i have seen 2 18's BTLs on 6K in a suv not break 150.DB with dual alternators soooo... all this talk is worthless.

I would say it's pretty challenging with only two 12's.

Extremely challenging

Someone, somewhere can probably do it though.

Why do you want to hit 150db?

IMO your equipment is capable, its impossible to tell though. I would just keep searching the forums trying to find someone with a meter, or maybe call around to your local shops

I have 2 15" mayhems and i do 149.9 if that counts as a 50 for you?

Box position, flexing, electrical, etc all play a roll. A 145 can sound like a 50 but not meter it..

It just cant be determined without a meter. Imo
