Posted February 9, 201213 yr So i didnt realize till after i bought my amp its a 2 channel amp instead of mono. So heres the wiring im going to dohttp://a248.e.akamai.net/pix.crutchfield.com/ca/learningcenter/car/subwoofer_wiring/2DVC_4-ohm_2ch-br.jpgNow i cant understand my amp specs as i dont understand how to fully read them correctly. But there this 300X1 @ 4 ohm500X1 @ 2 ohm750X1 @1 ohmSo my question is in the wiring i did how many watts will each sub get? Thanks
February 9, 201213 yr Looks like you have a monoblock. Some monoblocks have more speaker connections to make wiring multiple subs easier. Link to exact amp please.
February 9, 201213 yr Author http://www.audioque.com/AQ750-Amplifier_p_46.htmlIm pretty sure its not a mono but i dont know much
February 9, 201213 yr Didn't you buy an AQ750? If so it is mono. If you bought the two d4 DCON's you'll want to wire to one ohm.

But there this 300X1 @ 4 ohm500X1 @ 2 ohm750X1 @1 ohmSo my question is in the wiring i did how many watts will each sub get? Thankswith those specs above each sub will get 150 watts.here is how you read it:Watts per channel @ some ohm loadso 300x1@4ohm = 300 watts on 1 channel at a load of 4ohmsif I was you I would wire the subs to a 1ohm load! this equals more power!http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp?Q=2&I=42#resultsalso the above specs are for a MONO amp not a 2 channel amp. Which amp do you have? Also on ALL mono amps they have 4 output terminals which are commonly internally paralleled for easy wiring/ hooking up of speakers. So don't confuse a mono for a 2 channel based on the number of output terminals! specs for a two channel amp would look like this125W x 2CH @ 4ohm Stereo200W x 2CH @ 2ohm Stereo400W x 1CH @ 4ohm bridgedand specs for a 4 channel could look like this100W x 4CH @ 4ohm stereo160W x 4CH @ 2ohm stereo320W x 2CH @ 4ohm bridged

February 9, 201213 yr LOL looks like I spent to much time typing and not enough time waiting! ya the above amp AQ 750 is a mono amp and what subs do you have? and or how much can they handle?also what kind a car? build log? and electrical upgrades?

Subs will be getting here monday. Building my box this weekend. Im trying to make sure i got this all down before i get everything put into my car and fuck something up LOL!!! Thanks!!!!

February 9, 201213 yr Author Oh geez. Facepalming myselfI finally understand that diagram. Makes more sence now I kept think the wires from + to + and - to - where the subbox. LOL Silly, i got it now! Edited February 9, 201213 yr by nousername
February 10, 201213 yr I finally understand that diagram.Make sure to triple check your work! It can make a huge difference if you make a silly mistake.
February 12, 201213 yr lol some amps have 2 pos and 2 neg for speaker wires...lol some amps have 2 pos and 2 neg for power wires...
