Posted February 24, 201213 yr Ok guys i know that in my previous threads i said i was going with the xcon 12 but dunds are a littke tighter than before so but i could still get the xcon but it would be a little longer of a wait so my question is on 1000 watts which would be louder in a 2.5cft box tuned to 33 hertz
February 24, 201213 yr I think you'd be plenty happy with the Icon. You would be getting a great subwoofer and saving some coin in the process.
February 24, 201213 yr Admin I agree, if the Xcon is out of budget, the Icon is a heck of a great option.
February 24, 201213 yr Yea I would say the Icon too. Also because its gettin close to max power (1000rms) working to its potential while the Xcon wouldn't imo Edited February 24, 201213 yr by Randy.D
February 24, 201213 yr Admin There is more to reaching potential then power. The enclosure could be very efficient, and the Xcon might only need 500 watts to get huge results.

February 24, 201213 yr Author Well i can still get the xcon but i was wondering how much louder would the xcon be on 1000 watts. because if the icon gets just asl oud on that power then id rather save a little by getting the icon

February 24, 201213 yr Author Ok thanks everybody i think to save a little im going to go with the icon!
February 24, 201213 yr I agree with Mark & Aaron, but one reason to get the Xcon would be if you want to add more power in the future, you wouldn't have to upgrade the sub.
