So i just got my wife 4 kicker cvr15's and i was calculating a box and holy crap 16cu ft!!!! At least!!! And kicker says that i should tune my box at 28hz??? Someone please help me out with a box...

Sounds about right, if I was to ever do four 15s, I would be in the low 20s for cuft. And 28hz is rather low tunning, Should be ok for daily though, you may change it for your needs though. For a box design, you should simply contact one of the vendors herre. Ram Designs is a good one, but won't build, DC Creations would also be another choice. But to help you, of course we need some info from you, such as

  • What vehicle?
  • How much space are you will to sacrifice?
  • What are those MAX demensions?
  • How much power, tho irrelavent to some.

no reason to tune that low for a daily setup

Its a 2008 yukon..width(49in) height(30in) depth(34in)...maybe tuned to 33hz...subs will be inverted and im leaning towards aeroports...

Since the Yukon is just like the Tahoe. I have to point out the width tapers down a little towards the bottom. I would go with 48.5 MAX just to be safe. Also my original plan was 4 15's. I have seen the kickers in a box smaller than 16 cubes especially if there overpowered.

They will only get 400wrms so a bigger box should be the way to go...maybe 16cu ft...my amp is 2kwrms at 1ohm but the subs are 4ohms

Nvm got the PM

Kicker suggest anything from 3-5 Ft^3 per sub.. So 12-20 cubes would be acceptable.. I would just try to fit within that... Larger enclosures will be much more efficient but risk mechanical failure if abused. On the other hand a smaller enclosure raises mechanical handling but sacrifices efficiency.

So 4cu ft is right in between..im just amazed at how these low end subs with such a small rms need so much room...

your amp does 2k at 1ohm, and you have 4 4ohm subs? that wired in parallel would be 1 ohm. which means you'd see 500wrms to each. depending on if the amp does rated. and you are on the high end of their rated power. I'd go a little smaller on the enclusre personally. 33hz tuning would be fine. id go 12-14cubes at 32-35hz. what amp?
