just read up on the PG site and the Xenons are discontinued, and so goes the XeLoad with the flexiable 1-4ohm stability with similar output,

rsd1200.1.jpg

suprised they are going this way, seems as if the Xenon was the step between the Titanium and the Tantrum, and now they are dropping it, so the new Rsd line is taking the place of the Xenon and none are ratted to be 1 ohm stable, what is going on, PG has always been a company with a top end line to aspire to have, now I am not so sure :ugh2:

and this goes for the subs and components too, are they down grading to stay afloat and jumping on the F&F bandwagon?

:bandwagon2:

aww well, the xenon chit was ugly anyway...lol...

but i do miss my m50 and xs2500....

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :slayer:

I am still trying to unt down a Bass Cube remote

I actually kinda like them. AS for the subs, I have heard from some dealers that they actually have a driver a step above the regular RSD. It'c the RSD Pro I believe. Anyways, I've heard quite a bit of hype about this driver, but I also did the Titanium Elites, but never saw many or heard about them. Overall, there seems to be such a small niche market for highend gear and it seems to be well covered. I think the major manufacturers are starting to cater more towards the "average purchaser" than the die-hard enthusiast.

so are we guessing that the Rsd is their main line? with the Octane staying on as the entry?

(I asked same thing on soundbuggy so we will see)

It's the RSD Competition.

Supposed to be a very efficient subwoofer aswell.

I'm not holding my breath.

They have a line coming out called the Ryval.

Not sure how that fits into the grand scheme of things though.

I actually kinda like them.

They still don't have anything that would make me want to upgrade my Tantrum pair :)

attractive but have not seen or heard anything about it

There was some BS about it in the CES thread over on soundbuggy. Supposed to be the most linear and best sounding subwoofer ever produced by PG, one of the most efficient subwoofers on the market (Hoffman's Iron Law, anyone?), a dream for both SQphiles and bassheads alike, yadda yadda yadda. Typical promotional "best thing since sliced bread" type of comments.
