I know the big 3 can't hurt, but I'm on a super tight budget.

I have a nissan maxima which apparently has a 100amp alternator.

My set up includes a D-class mono amp that is rated at 340rms at 4ohms. I'll also be running a set of front components off an A/B two channel that does 100rms per channel at 4ohms.

So playing it safe and rounding up, thats about 600rms total.

Is it worth it to do the big 3?

I was considering doing it in 4g, or just waiting to do it when I get more money down the road after a few month.

I just dont want any heavy voltage drop or headlight dimming.

What do you think? Thanks!

Doing the big three is always a good thing. It helps keep components that are part of your vehicle and aftermarket more safe by helping with voltage drop thus decreasing current draw. I would do it. It is a very affordable upgrade. Since you already have to wire up the amps, just buy a little extra wire and some terminals and take the extra time to make the improvement right away. You will be happy you did later on

Also, do you know where I can get a fuse holder for RLY cheap? All the ones I see are 20-30$.

I found some by scorpion and sound quest, does anyone know if they are any good? Or brands to stay away from?

I will go against the grain here and say if you know you won't upgrade to a bigger amp then no way I would waste my time or money doing the big 3.

I had a system at one point consisting of a fosgate bd500 on 2 diamond audio 15's and also a alpine 150 watt amp on my components and banged that setup for 2 years solid and never had a voltage or charging issue in completely stock electrical.

I would do good 4 gauge wire to the amp and fused correctly.

Well I already have my main power/ground from battery to amp.

I have CCA 0g to the trunk, then a distro block that has 8g wire to the 2 channel and 4g wire to the mono amp.

I just need to buy some 4g for the big 3 now.

Does anyone know if buying xscorpion or streetwire is smart.

Xscorpion has some good intallation stuff. Streetwires is by MTX if i remember right and is a bit on the high $ side.. For the power you are running 4 gauge is fine. Look for any fuse holders on ebay, dont HAVE to be the fancy kind. Or try Knukonceptz.
