Posted May 23, 201213 yr in the back of my truck is not the learning experience I quite thought it would be. Until the Fox acoustic box gets here, my rear seat is out and my Great Dane takes pleasure in stepping on the cables. Uncle Mur4phy must have told him to stand right on the connectors because all four are broken. To top it off, he's crapped twice on the sub amp and pushes off anything I cover it up with. Back to the RCA's, those 22gauge wires are too small to hold and solder at the same time. What can I use to hold the jack while soldering? Mind you this has to be done in the back cab of my truck.
May 23, 201213 yr I use a butane Iron and hold it in my teeth. A little tape on the end. Leaves both hands free, and no need to set anything up. I've soldered hundreds connectors and I've learned to do it best that way.
