Generally speaking, when shopping for an amplifier or subwoofer, you want to look for the RMS ratting.

Here is what I found for that amplifier.

RMS POWER, 4 OHM: 230w x 2

You can expect to see less than that as well. All published data from the manufacture is not always true.

No but I'm going to assume your sub is of similar quality? Let us know what sub you have so we can see if you really need 1200.

Yeah you will want to run ~600 rms to that sub.
