Dual 2ohm? So any amplifier rated for 1000wrms to 1500wrms @ 1ohm. Sundown 1500, IA 20.1, Stetsom V1000.1, or my favorite: the Zed Minotaur.

have you took the sub out of the box and looked where the spider and leads are?

Yeah, they looked fine thats why I think its inside the sub. I compared them to some other subs I had laying around. looked fine and checked the leads also looked fine, so I am guessing something on the inside is messed up =/

I am going to try contacting IA and see what they can do for me.

If I can get it up and going again I plan on rebuilding my box to a 6ft cu air space and it'll be tuned around 35-37hz I will get the BC2000 amp for it.

they called me back said they'd have a tech guy call me..they never did..so idk

Take the sub out of the box and post some pics. We will be able to tell you what it wrong. 99.9% sure you need a recone

Separated VC due to clipping, or thermal failure is my guess.

I say this because if your push on it and it works, that means something is disconnected at some point.

probably got busy & forget to reply u but still they shud have better standards than that though

i have some experience with DP 18s & imho i wouldn't use less than the 6.5 they recommended

these 18s seem to prefer bigger enclosures & u will loose considerable low end with a smaller than recommended box , tune ur enclosure around mid to low 30s

but honstly as far as amp 20.1 would be a good amp for the death penalty i just wonder how powerful the bc2000
