August 16, 201213 yr Author Turned it up about half cause it is at 1 ohm now. I checked with a dmm today and it's at 1 ohm an the reason I can't turn the gain higher is because of this problem.
August 16, 201213 yr Author http://s152.photobucket.com/albums/s167/nstickler91/xcon/ there is the album with the sub out of the box.. when i got the sub freshly shipped. it had the chips in the magnet and the spider was not fully glued as seen in the pictures. i didnt think anything of it think that the sub was brand new and handmade and inspected. but as u can see there is no damage to the sub>
August 16, 201213 yr Author Any support or advice would help. Cause I would love to listen to some bass music already
August 16, 201213 yr I see no problem with your spider joint; the chips in the magnet are purely cosmetic, they probably happened during shipping. Your dust cap is loose
August 16, 201213 yr Watching the video, it sounds like it is a dustcap loose. Check around the edges of the cap and see if there is any movement.
August 16, 201213 yr Author Okay I'll check when I get home. In the video u can see the bubble happen its right above the word Xcon
August 16, 201213 yr I watched the video again. Is there something you are leaving out of this story? There should be no reason that woofer does that, even on 2x the power.
August 16, 201213 yr Wouldn't it be where the bubble occurs? Not if the Dust Cap is loose.Epoxy works good.
August 16, 201213 yr Author That's what I'm saying it isn't even at rms and it is doing this and I have no clue to what it is.
August 17, 201213 yr Pull the sub and shake it and see it there is something loose. I am not sure if they put a boob style cap under the dish cap, but it sure does look like it came loose.
