When i hook up components and wire them to my amp, does the crossover unit that comes with them split the power between the two? my amp is 70w per channel does that mean my tweeter sees 35 and the woofer 35? Is it possible to just use all four channels for just my front stage? when the set is rated at 100w rms does that mean each piece can handle that or are the 50w each?

If it says 50 watts rms thats all they want you to give to the crossover.

Need component brand and model.

The power is not divided between the speakers (i.e. 35 & 35). Basically if you're delivering 70 watts of power on 20 to 20,000hz for example, the mid will see that 70 watts on frequencies up to the low pass crossover point. The tweeter will see 70 watts from the high pass crossover point on up.

That's a really basic explanation, but I believe it answers your question.

I have used the IA components from ssa and and they sound great for 120 a pair.

infinity stuff has alsways been top knotch, the perfect series is their upper end stuff.

If you in the price range, look into the Rockford Power series components. Very good stuff with excellent power handling and sound quality.

Power T2 $249, that is crazy cheap.
