I bought an autotek mm 2500.1 quite awhile ago, and have been running it at 2 ohms, and it's been great.

Onlinecarstereo.com claims it's stable at 1 ohm, putting out 2500 rms.

It's a $150 amp... I'm hella skeptical, because of that, so I came here to see if anyone has an experience with the Mean Machine's running down to that load.

Try it. If it can't do it it'll protect before it explodes lol

Wasn't aware it'll protect before hand. :P

Well, sweet deal. Doubtful it'll put anywhere near the 2500 claimed though, haha.

i have seen claims of people getting around 400 watts or so after rise at 2 ohms,

That one I don't quite believe.

It was pushing my 9512 gloriously at two ohms, haha.

Unless I'm a retard and think that 400 watts is loud as hell. :P

So you have a quite expensive woofer, but cheaping out on a amp.....

It's a pawnshop Mtx 9512.

I didn't have a job until last year, and had to buy cheap stuff, haha.

I'm 19, and have a paid apprenticeship installing in a shop, I'd think I'm doing alright. :)

Yeah, I realized that as soon as I posted that.

I wish I had a DD 9512, hahaha.

400 watts can get plenty loud.

And 800 would be barely louder, 600 not even noticeable. So yep OP, could surely be 400.
