So my questions are what the difference? Aren't they the same since they are made by the same company? If not which is better and why?

I'm pretty sure they don't own Boston, but the question you just asked is just another reason I'm no longer a fan of their products.

In comparison to what MB Quart was before Maxxsonics bought them, they've been ruined, but to answer your question the products are tiered with MBQ on top, Autotek, Hifonics and Crunch. That was explained to me by one of their "engineers" named John who I talked to at length for quite some time before I discovered the forum and right before they acquired MBQ. The guy even promised they wouldn't change anything about MBQ and we all have seen how that worked out.

Boston Acoustics amps were made in Italy than switched to Malaysia, not China. Unfortunately, Boston has left the mobile market and that is why you can get their amps so cheap.

Do you know how many amps use the same board?

How many subs use the same baskets?

its astounding honestly, but its a different company and the name hikes the price up because of name or better components..

Go figure

Just like old lexus/camry was the same car just like an expedition/navigator

same company slight adjustments slight price differences

They may share boards, but components could be different. This could be the reason for price differences.

Just like the Camry/LExus ES. They share a chassis and drivetrain, but that's about where the similarities end, just like the Lincoln/Ford. You are paying for amenities and luxuries. Same with electronics.

Ohh ok yea I've heard good things about the older hifonics amps but now seems like people really don't like any of these brands anymore. Now everyone says these brands are cheap and overrated... oh yea that's right I'm sorry I meant to say crunch and not BA.

Sounds like some women!smile.png
