and my car has wood grain , as you can see here my factory wood and my wood grain kit is off a bit, i can change the bottom to match the top, and the outside, if i get the correct shade.

The dark burl pattern matches better, but is it a little too red?

The mahogany grain matches you box but it seems a bit reddish. Maybe you can add a little red tint to some polyclear and give the box another coat so they'll match. :)

i agree it seems to be a bit too red.

humm....

I went to their website, the burlwood honey looks closer to your dash.

  • Author

i thought the honey was too light

Are you married to that company? There has got to be someone out there with the "perfect" match.

what if i did a blackwood,

then i would change all the trim inside to black wood aswell.

John, I would just change all of it to the same burl. For your goals it seems to make the most sense.

I personally hate the black/grey/charcoal stained woods.

Eventually you might want to even veneer the box. It would be nice if every little detail matched.

If it were me I would go with a less red burl over e'rething.

i used mahogany on mdf...turned out different color but so sexy! little bit darker then expected!

im thinking maybe the honey... what do yall think?

From my monitor honey seems about right.

I like the honey, not a fan of the charcoal or gray woods. The reds are alright.

well these are the options!

3m seems to have better choices.

Don't listen to pmureika, he's old and his eyes probably don't work right anymore. You want honey...h o n e y, mmmmhhhh honey.

the 3M cuts there shit weird, they have a 4 feet by 10000000 feet roll and the wood grain runs the wrong way .. it runs side to side along the 4 foot......

this company makes there grain long long ways... so i can get a 20 foot run and the grain runs along
