Posted November 3, 201212 yr I still have my 15" sundowns and I've recently been offered a pretty good deal on this amp. I was wondering if it's better than my current amp found here.
November 3, 201212 yr Author isn't the hfi series kind of crappy though? Just what I've heard on here and SMD, i'm thinking more along the lines of longevity not necessarily audible difference
November 3, 201212 yr If the price is THAT great then why not.. but why change when there are no likely benefits?
November 3, 201212 yr Author I just question the longevity and overall quality of the hifonics. I got it for free so i'm really not losing if I blow it I was just wondering if the AQ is of better quality than the hifonics
November 3, 201212 yr Author Dont really want to put the full specifics out but let's just say damn near free
November 3, 201212 yr Dont really want to put the full specifics out but let's just say damn near freeWell if you don't want us to know then why ask? Are you performing sexual favors for it or something?
November 3, 201212 yr Author No but last time I put out a good deal I got tons of pm asking for hook ups. I was just wondering if it would be worth it to sell my hifonics and pick up the aq
November 3, 201212 yr The AQ is a much better choice than hifonics. It may not be the best but they are good!

November 3, 201212 yr Author I meant what amp is he thinking. I don't like this hifonics at all its makes my subs sound muddy no matter how I tune it so an upgrade is in the near future. Really don't want to go over $350-$400 and probably right around 1500 rms
November 3, 201212 yr I do not like anything owned by Maxxsonics.List of my choices-Crescendo AudioSundown AudioDC SoundlabAudiopipe - APKAll of these offer great CS and expected performance.
November 3, 201212 yr I don't like this hifonics at all its makes my subs sound muddyThat's more than likely not the amp's fault.
November 3, 201212 yr Author Than what is it? It's the only thing that's changed in my system. This is the only amp i've used that sounds muddy. I also have 2 people i know that have similar issues with the same line of amp. just saying
