need help "spacing" when posting to topics

I just got a new computer that runs windows 8. When posting I cannot hit "enter" to go to the next line. The cursor just sits next to the last letter typed. Is there a function I can change to fix this?

    try holding shift when pressing enter.

    Looks like I have to toggle between editing modes.

    Maybe Mark or Arron will know why.
