/\ remember my initial recommendation?

But it's so much easier to go looking for the body. Moar megapixels = better right?

Initially you said, if you have to go zoom, but are there some prime lenses I should be looking into as well?

Nope.

You can have a 10MP camera with a good sensor that produces better pictures than the contrary.

 did you get transferred?

No transfer brother. I am on paid vacation (using up the rest of my vacation time as I transition out) until August 27th.

Already in FL and now job hunting again, as well as apt/house hunting.

Also, to buy or to rent....any opinions?

dvd players... bought hardly use 160 gig PS3 with assassins creed for a 100 bucks....  i guess i did good? im not a gamer.  but.. DVD bluray and ability to stream netfixs and browse the net seemed like a win to me.

Good deal. Great game.

While the PS3 is capable of BluRay and DVD playback, I don't recommend it as your primary player. These units like to get hot, and longevity may be questionable. I can't complain as I have had my PS3 for years.

The more Megapixels, the better resolution.. but it depends what Megapixel measurement you are talking about..

Most cheaper cameras have their MP rated as MAX rather than Native.

If you do not know the native MP rating of a camera, then you cannot compare that spec with another camera.

What are you talking about shizzz?

A sensor has an amount of pixels, that is it. It may suck, and another one might not, but the amount of pixels don't change.

Stefan is quite correct. Mega pixel count is only important for blowing pictures up, or if you plan to crop them quite often.

I thought it was a joke, but I didn't want someone else to mistake it.

I just googled the t3i mike and got 4 different options all under 600 bucks. It comes with a shifty kit lens, but it is still better than a p&s.

You can then start saving for a lens and start learning how to shoot. I did find a t4i for just a few bucks more but it will be unreliable to find as it is discontinued. Maybe a physical location close to you would have it on close out.

Mega-pixels are a somewhat useless differentiator.  Shitty glass on a 25+MP camera will resolve WORSE than good glass on an 8MP camera.  Exactly why it is so fucking stupid to have more than 2MP on a phone camera.  No way that lens resolves jack.

That and the ONLY things that moar allows are larger prints and/or more cropping.

My comment on the prime was you could afford to buy a body and a new 1.8 50mm.  Obviously finding a used 1.4 50mm would be even better.  I'd still rather get a crappier body and buy one of the lenses I recommended that were zooms though.

Ha, primary.  I've had a BluRay player now for 4 years.  It's never had a BluRay in it and besides Shaun the Sheep & Wallace & Grommit it has hardly had a DVD in it.

Umm, no.  Resolution is related to the glass.  MP is an absolute number as well.

Probably would get you closer to $600 with a good 40d, but I am sure there is a little wiggle room on price and it would KILL anything new for $600.  Hell it would be better than anything new for $1000.  You'd also be able to sell it all with minimal loss if you upgrade.

I checked radar, nothing.  Go light the grill and bam, big fucking cloud, pouring rain.  I am done with the storms.

Same, I have been attempting to finish detailing the RX8, but stupid me.

I am seriously dumbfounded that Randal is going to go through all that install work and use a passive. sad.png

I'm not ... Well, I am running passive with the tweeter / midrange drivers simply because they are the EXACT same measuremants to the listner's ears so there is no reason to time align them separately ... And since the midbass / subbass drivers in the kickpannels will be at different maesurement positions, they will be time aligned separately ... So yes, for the most part, I will be running an active system, just one section will be passive ...

Non-custom measured in place passives are a bad idea.  WAY too much work on your install to do that.

I have all the time in the world to get this thing to work like I want it ...

I didn't put that in your thread for a reason, I find it amusing you did.

What's the difference, you've never taken it easy on me before ... Why start now ??

I figured in here you wouldn't

I actually do take it easy on you.  You always take conversations personally and emotionally which makes it hard to have a productive conversation so I greatly limit my criticism.  Figured if I posted in here you'd not see it as pooping on your thread but trying to help.  Of course, what you see as me not being easy on you in other comments is also me trying to help.

Case and point.  Your Ford install.  As with ANY install be it home, car, boat the first thing you decide on are mounting locations.  THEN you can start shopping for drivers.  In your case this was done in reverse.  That will never lead to an optimal install.
