I did 175 in my GTO before I let up. I pussed out

i wouldnt call it pussed out, 175 on two or four wheels isnt pussing out.

from what i recall seeing the GTO's top speed is 175... and thats with perfect conditions

My brother watched an accident 2 days ago where a fully loaded grain semi was doing about 65mph when a Grand Am pulled out from a side road not watching and got T-boned. Absolutely exploded the Grand Am into 3 seperate pieces, couldn't even see the interior of the car. The engine in the semi even flew out of the truck! It was fucking bruital

And I'm going to buy SPD pedals and shoes. Gave it a try on a friend's bike, it's awesome to both push and pull on the pedals. And having a stiff shoe helps comfort on long rides.

Time Attak and similar styles >>> SPD's.  Getting a floating binding is much better on your knees.  I use the Look equivalent that I bought used on CL.

Seems like this is the way to go. Glad I asked, time for some research smile.png

I hate SPD's as much as I hate road bike pedals.  My boss tore his ACL thanks to road bike pedals.  Effin' slippery in a bakery part way through a ride.

Slippery pedals are horrible. So much so I'd have to have slippery pedals in morning traffic.

Fingers crossed the auction does not climb so I can get the Time Atac's I found in Europe :)

oh no, TSP 228R cam with Comp 1.8 rockers for a .622 lift, TEA ported 799 heads. The car runs to 175 pretty quick actually.

Infact, the Speedo says 200mph and one day I fully intend on hitting that. I want Nitrous next year, but I'm sending the car out to Gforce1320 in the spring to get a full 9in irs and mini tubs done. I might end up getting their cage and harness kit too depending on how well it really fits the interior. Nitrous might still get installed though

I really am man! I make decisions quick as fuck then change my mind a minute later. Last week I had my car up for sale for like 45min while I went out for breakfast and the whole time I was eating I was just think about what a stupid idea that was. When I got home I took the for sale posting down :P I just couldn't do it

Averaging 45 on the roads here is quick. Speed limits are 30 in towns and villages and we have 3 small stretches of freeway, other than that, 2-lane roads with the occasional 3 lanes on inclines.

I did 200 miles in 5 hours. Total crap...

Nope, it wouldn't suck, it actually sucks :)

I still wear Doc Martens for boots most of the time. Might need to look into some timberlands.

Redwing > timbos

By far. Maybe danners would work for you. Timbos are cooler looking and have the name and for you probably last just as long for you.

Wore danners for the better part of 10 years. They are great on the feet, but they make them sweat like nothing else. I'll check into redwings as well. I just know for some reason with my shitty joints the doc's are amazing.
