I need to learn how to cook them good, SAMs club here has the biggest damn crag legs I have ever seen compared to any restaurant I have been to, even Florida crab houses.

Local fish monger should have better. Some of the legs I get locally are beyond anything I have ever seen.

As far as I know the ones labeled Bristol are the only ones that can guarantee cooked on the boat and NEVER thawed. On average legs in the marketplace have been thawed at least 3x with some as many as 10x. Pretty sure I read the Costco ones are 4. They are still good, but not nearly as sweet and yummy as the ones that are treated right.

Curious what about it you don't like?

Mainly the smells and the texture. That 'fishy' smell or the smell of tuna turnes my stomach a bit and kills any interest in it.

I have had fried haddock, large mouth bass and cod in the past and that with a shit ton of lemon and a beer batter is ok at best.

Grilled swordfish?

Soak the fish in milk over night. It'll kill the fishy flavor and won't destroy the meat texture. Being from Louisiana we eat a ton of seafood. And the family does quite a bit if deep sea fishing in the gulf.

Any insights on one of these versus the other? Will be paired with SilverFlutes. Going into a Dodge Ram 1500. Silver Flutes will be powered my LP 3002, LP2202 will be going to tweeters. All processed via bitTenD

I ran the vifas pretty low and liked them a lot.

There are 2 great places near my house and a 3rd that is pretty good. By near I mean within 3mi. Tons in the city as well though too.

What one would you suggest as the best?
Best for what? ...and I don't mean sushi, that I know.It is why I asked some other questions. Most people who haven't eaten a lot of sushi don't like the things that I may like, I want to make sure to send you to a logical choice noting your likes.

I'm not a big fan of sushi rolls, but I would love some squid, eel, tuna, and other general cuts.

Silver Flutes are butt.

Too bad it's not at least forged internals. At the end of the day it's what you feel something is worth. I also won't worry about the trans too much. You just need to drive it, that 575awhp may feel tame with the centrifugal setup, or it may be a beast and makes you buy it, haha

I didn't see anything in there where it even mentioned what rods/pistons/crank are in it.
It specs the size of piston which when googled leads you to a Mahle forged piece, but no guarantee there.

We use Mahle for some parts at work. They have sucked as a supplier for us. Obviously a lot different market with pistons.

Any idea on the time it would take if I paid someone to swap long blocks on an Escalade? Going to price out building one.

Check out Thompson Motorsports for an LS3 shortblock. No need for the longblock unless you want to swap in LS3 cylinder heads for higher compression, but on a FI (forced induction) engine your wouldn't want that.

Just send it to WoodHouse and let Mark work his magic. Just think of it as money. You can always make more.

See you don't know me well. You can't send me to look at this:

When I thought I was looking at a truck with this:

With all the effort to do the swap, I'd have a hard time not paying the extra $3500

forgot the LQ9 is a Gen 3 engine and he needs Gen 4. The L92 block is a great foundation. Keeping the weight about the same though you could go with the LS3 aluminum block and after supercharger and everything it would damn near put the front end weight back to stock.

Probably very unnecessarily as well

very unnecessary
