I could have ended up in one.

It doesn't do much wrong, it just doesn't do anything amazing.

I also feel that if I wanted to go that way Buick or Lexus could get me the same experience with less hassle.

I love the new Regal GS. I would like to have one, but I can't see the $40K for a 4-banger. Same with Lincoln and the MK-Z.

Expect them to get worse thanks to CAFE standards. I just spent time in class discussing soon to be upcoming vehicles, and thanks to the new CAFE standards we can expect the price of new cars to climb $7-15K by 2016.

54.5 mpg by 2025, This ought to be interesting...

The audio coming out of my work computer sounds awful.  I would think it was my headphones but they sound fantastic on the laptop at home or my tablet.  I think I'm going to have to look into an external soundcard or something on this.

the behringer ua202 has burr Brown and is cheap. I have a couple.

It would be easier if the emissions were more relaxed.

Whoa.  That is cheap, buying one tomorrow.

I just pulled up Tundras on AutoTrader, and how is the sticker on a new Tundra more than one on a F-350, diesel, 4x4, XLT, 4dr truck?

For which model?

I do agree Toyota kerps jacking up the prices, and not much is really changing.

I just know when I got mine (July 2011) it was one hell of a bang for my buck.

I don't follow your logic.  Minimizing unburnt fuel = efficiency.

Digital out to which is about the only way you'll actually get an upgrade.  Only reason not to use one is that isn't internal.

The body design teams are trying to not do exactly that.  Their perception is that the cost cannot increase more than the savings achieved in fuel. Based on the average ownership of a new vehicle.  Exceptions being made if they make the car better of course, ie normal price upgrades.  View they've shared is that pricing is as high as possible to optimize sales.  They don't expect because they have to do something that the consumer will then choose their solution.

I really want to agree with that as well, but how have we reduced emissions to 1/100th of what we did in 1990 but I really don't think cars have seen a huge MPG increase.

I know the in diesel, we can use LTC to reduce certain "bad" emissions but it also reduces efficiency.
