Sure more dynamic range could help but at some point that will make it not look real

What would help more is shooting it about 10 minutes earlier so you could still resolve the trees and roofs.

SF is nice to visit, don't think I could live there for very long though.

It was pouring though so I had to leave the camera behind, that is shot on a phone.

That needs dynamic range like hell, there is a gorgeous bridge in the background. Really sucks too as there was a stellar golden hour opp walking in the rain with JUST the right light, nice trees, boats and superb water

I carry my battery charger with me when I travel and I've only needed it once. I think I shoot about 10-15k pictures a year and haven't needed a battery pack ever.

Dynamic range is easy to pull out in lightroom...

Not worried about a battery running out of juice as much as I worry about one shorting out or getting damaged.

Unlikely but I shoot for money or favors.

I've never even read about someone having that issue. So of course that means I've never thought of it.

As you know I feel Canon products, body and lens, are better.

But Nikon does have dynamic range. They used to have a huge mp advantage too, but with the new 5DsR.
