Thanks but I'm a black or white and silver if it's cheap enough guy.

Ironically, my current non-wrecked Town Car is silver.

My white car I got really lucky on. Car was a 1-owner with all service records since new, Lincoln serviced. It was purchased to travel down to FL in the fall, drive down there, then back up here in the Spring. Never really saw snow, but had high mileage. The guy didn't know it's value though. KBB was low because of the mileage, 170K, so I lowballed his already low price, and got a $4K car for $1800.

The Mark was the same way, but the old man had back surgery and couldn't get in the car anymore. It was a Cali car, rust free, which you can not find anywhere around here. Add in the rare color and I couldn't refuse.

My Silver car I got cheap as shit because it had a constant miss and CEL and the guy threw a couple grand in converters a new intake, tuneup, and coils and it still had problems. I drove it, popped the hood and immediately saw the problem. It had bad coils, but the guy cheaped out where he should nit have and bought cheap coils. I have a buttload of MC coils, so I came home and 15 minutes later had it purring.

Except you're telling the truth?

Drove a looooong way today to look at a Santa Fe Sport 2.0T. Wife was really excited about it (she had to b at work though). It ended up having too many small scratches and paint chips as well as a recent fender bender. Iw as prepared to fix the fender but the rest threw me off. Other wise is was FULLY loaded which was really nice.

Weird thing is, I was ready to make a cash offer and the salesman seemed to have no interest in selling (or thought I wasn't planning on buying it). When I got there the salesman all but threw me the keys and said see you later. I took it for a good long test drive, tested everything out, checked out the outside and took pictures of the scratches. As the salesman and I walked in to talk the sales manager was walking out for lunch with keys to a different car. The salesman gave her the keys and she said, "Are you sure?" and said something along the lines of, "Yeah, it's fine.". He gave me the CarFax and pretty much never said another word. After seeing the condition of the paint I decided not to make the offer and he had no problem with it. it was a really odd situation.
