I can also send the shot immediately to the device to post on social media, or text, or whatever. I really got it for several reasons.

Works the same on my end, but I shoot raw so they hit my pc first.

I sing a Halsey cover of Justin Bieber at karaoke.

I felt the need to share this.  Judge me as you will.

Photoshop isnt necessary.  Light room does 99% of what you need done and gimp the rest

I used to use gimp. When I tried PS I never used gimp again. Everything about Photoshop is worlds better.

I know you and Matt love lightroom. I am just wondering if it is worth it for me to hack... err, buy lightroom.

Huh. I had no idea Lightroom was an Adobe Product.

Yep, released originally as a catalog system for photo's and then everyone realized that Photoshop sucks for general editing and white balance adjustment so they released those capabilities in the "pre" editing software and called it lightroom.  Fundamentally it is a white balance correction software that lets you do 99% of what you would need Photoshop for with a VERY small learning curve.

If you haven't played with Gimp lately you will be surprised, it does 95% of what photoshop does.  It is confusing if you are used to photoshop, but the price more than pays for it and if you run it in linux it pucking rips.

Plus, why use Lightroom when you can use the Instagram filters?

So, since I have been super fat there is all this new stretchy work out gear.

Where the fuck has this been my whole life.

When I used to lift I was forced to use thick ass rash guards or make my own workout clothes.

Imma be head to toe spandex.

The recommendations to overexpose a picture to use one of their filters is pucking stupid as well.  ALWAYS underexpose.  You can crank up the dynamic range in lightroom, you can't get detail back where it is washed out.

That I also forgot Seth.  Set your exposure down 1/3 or 2/3 before shooting.  I use 1/3 for people and 2/3 to a full for landscapes.

Expose for the darker areas, or use external out of frame light.

Obviously when the lighting is superb you can skip that, but that is in about .0001% of all pictures I shoot.

How do you get so many with good lighting?

:-D
