The brisket came out extremely tender despite it being small and cooking really fast. The "smoke" setting was pretty nice. It basically pulse in the pellets in intervals to keep smoke going. The temp stayed between 170-190 mostly. You can change up the pulsing to make less heat if need be. The PID loop doesn't seem to keep as tightly as I'd like when setting a temperature. However, if you are a lazy cook, I think you can make some respectable meat on it. My only issue with it is it sucks for anything requiring high heat (Burger, steaks,etc) since you can't get direct heat.
