So, the guy who purchased the Miata just drove a 2016.  Is it significant different?  He really disliked it.

I was told they are based on the Cayman platform now.

I'm shocked he didn't like it then.

I even loved the old small, "slow" Cayman S, quite a bit.  I was just too tall.

What I don't like is the lack of a medium to large 6 cyl NA option in the Cayman.  I could fix power issues with boost.  Now it's a 4 banger that is already stretched pretty far right?

I found it boring...and too small.  I haven't driven the new one though.  Would rather have an M4...which leads back to the Mustang.

GT 350.

With boost.

:D

correct, the base is a 2.0L I4 turbo and the S models are 2.5L I4 turbo.

I know I am late, but when I had the 528i, I ordered most parts from Bavarian Auto.  Good people.

Never too late!

Still waiting to hear back to get my car.

I'm too broke anyway, I just figured I should look at the cost in case it comes up.  I can feel subtle fade on the brakes but I'm not a brake stomped.  I drive slower and more civilized than most people.

I need new radar now that my tickets and such fell off.  Then I can get back to out running the law!

I would love to paint or replace the calipers.   They look so coroded.  The rest of the car has so much attention to detail.  It was my biggest aesthetic problem with the car because everything else is sexy AF to me.

Just an LS swap away from eating Italians for breakfast.

Wonder how much you can squeeze out of it before you need new internals.

10k is a lot of $$$.  I would hope you could get 700ish..

Up it to 13k and 1200hp on race has happens.

It makes sense.  That thing would be a track day beast.  Would it add significant weight though?

If an L33, IIRC, it would be about 70lbs increase.  From a very experienced Autocross friend who ran an RX8 at nationals level, who now has a Z06 for autocross, he said the RX8 is a better handling car for all around and track.  So it just needs Vette power. ;)

Basically nothing.  Go for it.

Aaron you can always bring it up and Bill, John, and I can get that taken care of.

Collectively we have everything to do the work.

That would be amazing.  But collectively, I don't have the needed play money.  This would be my LS engine of choice I think:  http://www.chevrolet.com/performance/crate-engines/lsa

Junkyard 4.8 and a turbo will cost you $2k + swap components and MURDER that power wise.
