Anyone ever heard of this brand?  I'm thinking this making enclosures super easy, considering the hardest thing for me is making straight cuts.

Interesting. Another thing you can do for straight cuts is use wood clamps / vice on one panel of wood on top of the panel you want to cut. Then you have an edge you can run your circular saw / jig saw against.

I've tried this and I just can't get it right, It doesn't help that I have a cheap circular saw/blade, but if I'm gonna spend $100 on a new circular saw, this might be a better option for me.  I haven't shopped around yet because honestly I didn't even know these existed until about half hour ago, but there seems to be a LOT of pricey ones.

mother fucker.  i have been trying to upload a 4 min video for 6 hours!.. it failed once i tryed again, and it failed again... i checked the size of the file.. and a 4 min video is almost 1 gig... and when i used the gopro soft where do convert it to a AVI file it made a 4 min video 5 gigs!!! WTF!

I used this for compressing my AVI's

 

Takes them from like a 2 GB and makes them like 44 MB, and keeps the quality the same.

Yes, it will drastically decrease the amount of time to upload, and only takes me around 5-10 minutes to render the compression

Well.... if you are having problems and have a cheap saw I would invest in something much better. If you do a lot of cutting I would recommend something much nicer.

My "circular saw" is a rigid worm drive. As for a fence, I use a super light weight aluminum straight edge and some clamps. Works like magic and I can get 10' or more if I needed. It is my father in laws, but they are not expensive.

Buy a quality saw, and a Freud blade and you will go far.

 these 6 inch saws have thin blades that flex under a load. Your edges will be wavy. The idea is cool, but the implementation is weak.

Yes, circular saw fences work and work well, but that one doesn't look like a good one. The make tracks as long as one needs, look on Amazon.

An Explorer with the Adrenalin front end a suspension package and boost may be acceptable. Interior surely isn't worse than the TBSS.

Cheaper to make your own guide, although those sort of guides work well. I'd have a tendency to buy them separate from the saw though.

I've got a tool thread on here somewhere, search for it. Has a nice internet fence system. I don't recall the name although there is one in the garage. Add a $60 Makita saw and a $30 blade and you are GOLDEN.

Decided I want my full music collection in my next car.  I like the convenience of the PC for crossovers as well.

Look up on Amazon, I think the one made by Emerson is what I've seen and played with before, pretty good.  Also, Kreg it looks like has one and they make nice toys.  I've you've got cash to drop, buy a Festool.  I think for box building work, a homemade 4'x8' table with a sacrificial MDF top, and a couple of saw tracks would be significantly easier than a contractor table saw improperly set up like most people have.  

 

That being said, its hard to beat a real table saw.  Yesterday I was cutting some 1" thick HDPE sheet plastic for a project and wasn't having a problem  holding +/- .015" cut sizes in about as much time as it took for me to walk up and turn the saw on.

Doesnt the SD card your using have something to do with upload speed? The guy at best buy told me to get a Samsung class 10 mini SD card as it was about the fatsest out there.

It doesn't matter how fast your SD card is if there is something slower further down the line.  Sure card XYZ may be the fastest out there, but is your reader/cables good to utilize that speed?  

 

Yes, normally faster = more bettah, but unless that is your limiting factor its a rather mute point.  If you are constantly dumping RAW pictures/videos off an SD card for work or taking sports photos, sure get the fastest crap on there.  For what I do, middle of the road is excellent for me.

Internet upload speed is most likely the cause of slow uploads.

IIRC, Class 6 is just about as good (or better in some situations) for a lot less change. I can't remember the specfics right now, but I would have opted for class 6 instead of 10 on my tablet.
