September 2, 201411 yr What is that? Foxbody 5.0? Ford Cosworth Escort? It's a Merkur XR4ti. Basically a Ford Sierra for the states. Iron block 2.3 Turbo that can take a ton of boost. If there is a rust free body, a donor 5 speed and a new electrical harness, it would be a fun mess around car. There is a guy local with a few and he tracks one that is just brutally fast. It might be forced into a classics class as it thumps some of the other more modern 4 cylinder 2 doors in the CDC. Iron head too. Too bad they're so damn heavy though. I love the Lima for it's never quit durability, but I still favor the Duratec, especially the 2.5 V6 which has a lot of "influence" from Cosworth. Have you tinkered on a Speed3 engine? I have not.
September 2, 201411 yr I averaged about 8-10k miles per set on mine. All depending of course on how bald I would run them. If it is an m-sport the camber will be the killer. No M sport.I can't light the tires unless I'm going sideways.

September 3, 201411 yr Picked my tuner and discussed my build with him today. He's as excited as I am.
September 3, 201411 yr Answered more questions in 10 minutes on the phone with him than I did in months of searching. Also, the sad news is stock pistons and 8psi are what I get to max out....until I build/buy a shortblock
September 3, 201411 yr Stock 6.2 should peg out a Precision 7675 by 5,200 rpm. While that sounds fun below 5200 I am not sure that sounds nice.
September 3, 201411 yr Should have the last cable I need for the carPC. Won't have music if I install it, but will have the capability to rip a tune.

September 3, 201411 yr check this out sean, https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/etx/canbus-triple-the-car-hacking-platformLove it, but it doesn't work with one wire GM stuff Imagine that, GM doing something dumb again. Ugh.
September 3, 201411 yr I would LOVE to be rid of my HVAC controls though. A solution for that would allow me to put in a 15" screen if I take that out. Would be the bomb.

September 3, 201411 yr Sean do you know anything about the technology for in ear monitors? My old pair are starting to shit on me.....Thinking about getting a mold done this time actually.
September 3, 201411 yr Cool shit.http://www.neomatica.com/2014/08/27/designed-metasurface-thin-near-perfect-acoustic-absorber/It sounds like they basically just invented a different type of Helmholtz resonator. Narrow band absorption based on essentially catching and dissipating rather than reflecting the energy. Exactly what the helmholtz resonator has done for a century.
September 4, 201411 yr A Gm so goofy, only Seth could love: http://news.epicinter.net/check-this-twin-engine-pontiac-gtp-at-the-drag-strip/ What's not to love? Gotta love a boosted 3.8.

I got my wife some B&W in ears 2 years ago. Really nice for ~$200, and still working... she is rough on her head phones.
September 4, 201411 yr I'm on 5-6 with mine. I'll take a look at the B&Dubs. Some of the best $$$ I have spent.
September 4, 201411 yr Starkey will make custom molds for any earbuds or supply them with drivers. All depends on what you "need".
