I have been dragging my feet on buying a new lens. Don't really want to buy a sony brand lens. What are your thoughts on Tamron?

My 24-70 is Tamron.

For me the IS was worth the itsy bitsy faster focus of the Canon version.

Saved me a pile of cash too.

SO I had a little team building thing for my guys today and we went karting.  Myself and another guy were going to go to the range afterwards, well, everyone just followed us, so the next thing you know, we have WW3 at the range.  It was crazy!  I got to shoot some new stuff though.  I am looking right now at AR parts.

They have a couple nice choices that would work well for me. Might look a little further into them on Monday.

Why parts when you can buy the gun fairly cheap. DPMS, bushmaster, and windum arms are my choices.

I've been told they're cheaper to build.

I would price around. Here they start at $349 and go up.

AR is Lego for grown men. Fun stuff.

I love my AR-10.

It's a DPMS. It has issues with damaging cases however.

The AR is such a beloved platform as you can make whatever you want!

Light short battle rifle options (SBR) or heavy longer barrels with sniper stocks for shooting bug holes or way the Fuck out there.

I recommend grabbing a brownells catalog for the AR platform and then doing as much webernet research as you can.

If you get one in .223 (5.56) and need magazines, let me know.

:)

Might have some left over.

It's one of my next big purchases.

First things come way before a new firearm though.

Depends who you ask...

You can never have too many guns!

Just too many ISIS angents.

I'd say ISIS has too many...

I don't think they should exist.

Depends on the lens. Some of them are junk, some are nearly equal to their brand equivalent, and some are in between. What length do you need?
