So, if you have a Droid tablet, Ipad, or CarPC as a headunit is there a nice way to bluetooth your phone through the stereo and add a microphone?

Not sure what goal you are going for with that.

Do you want a tablet or car pc that you can connect to your phone so that you can still perform hands free calling while driving?

I'll take the time to point out that I am extremely dissapointed in the lack of dedicated front end software for ipads or android tablets. I know it is very easy just to use the stock software, but I really though someone would have created an all new ROM (or atleast a killer app) that would transform your table into a high system for use in cars by now.

mother fucker.  i have been trying to upload a 4 min video for 6 hours!.. it failed once i tryed again, and it failed again... i checked the size of the file.. and a 4 min video is almost 1 gig... and when i used the gopro soft where do convert it to a AVI file it made a 4 min video 5 gigs!!! WTF!

im recording on the lowest setting on the go pro a WVGA setting... what the hell is going on why is it so large!?

You need to use a different rendering setting, or different render software altogether. This would explain the HUGE file size for a small video--it could also explain why the quality may be shitty too.

It's also common for one's Internet service to have decent download speed, but very slow upload speed, so you're getting fucked on both ends. :)

I haven't messed with too many video rendering softwares, but I'm currently using Sony Vegas with no issues.

I have to agree unless I have missed  the app or ROM we are talking of

Alma Gates has passed away.

I hope I don't look like an idiot, however I did just get into the scene on a competition level, but I didn't know who she was until I googled her. Wow, what an amazing lady. LOVE to see someone in that demographic showing some love for car audio. Fantastic. RIP Alma.

dan, your not understanding,,. it may be a little slow on upload but the issue is its almost a full gig for a 4 min video. !! how long would it take you to upload a full gig.? a while.

 im pissy.

i need to figure some shit out im going to try and down load ore programs and see WTF.

and swift right now im using a a BS 4 gig card.. i just ordered a 64GB class 10

but once its compressed can i upload it in the compressed format so it uploads quickly and not 325 mins to upload a 4 min vid?

Doesnt the SD card your using have something to do with upload speed? The guy at best buy told me to get a Samsung class 10 mini SD card as it was about the fatsest out there.

Ok so this is one of the most misguided fucked up things. When it comes to storage and speed there is no absolute winner. But I can tell you this, SanDisk knows what the fuck they are doing.

In addition to learning the ins and outs of SSD for my monster pc build, I also mess with video and photography. I shoot a lot in RAW also. So the files are fucking huge. They fill the cameras "cache" fast, so a faster SD is of great help.

SanDisk is almost always the champ. Whatever is one one step down from the top is regarded their fastest and is the same or better priced than almost everything but budget cards. As for mini SD, it is even more complex and stupid. Either way, for pulling media almost any card will be fast enough, butni wouldn't give my dollar to anyone but SanDisk unless I had benchmarks for both the device and the card used together.

That said I have a PNY in my DSLR right now because I needed one ASAP and it was 1/5 the cost and rated at a much higher speed than the SanDisk. I would make an educated guess that the slower SanDisk would be faster than the higher rated PNY.

my first reaction video

keep in mind its my g/f so she knows how loud it is.. and it still catches her off guard,

i didn't know it was so wide.. i did not want my self in the videos :( but what ever... you can see the windshield flex the steering wheel flex and so forth

but once its compressed can i upload it in the compressed format so it uploads quickly and not 325 mins to upload a 4 min vid?

It doesn't matter how fast your SD card is if there is something slower further down the line. Sure card XYZ may be the fastest out there, but is your reader/cables good to utilize that speed?

Yes, normally faster = more bettah, but unless that is your limiting factor its a rather mute point. If you are constantly dumping RAW pictures/videos off an SD card for work or taking sports photos, sure get the fastest crap on there. For what I do, middle of the road is excellent for me.

IIRC, Class 6 is just about as good (or better in some situations) for a lot less change. I can't remember the specfics right now, but I would have opted for class 6 instead of 10 on my tablet.

In mini/micro SD 6 may be the top, but in regular SD it isn't even close. Of course if you want to take shit loads of hyper fast pictures get something like the 7D DSLR from Cannon that uses compact flash.

However for video you don't need nearly those high speeds. 1080 video is rather microscopic compared to the size of images from DSLR shots. Those require massive speed and the ability to cache and dump quick.

They sell the UHF cards for video(that is what I got for a song) that are supposedly better at video, and rated with insane speeds.... but I don't really think it pans out.

And FWIW I rock the SanDisk in my phones too. Lol.

I want a better experience than what I have now. GPS and phone. Music processing is easy

What is the actual format the video is in? I know before you said you converted it to an AVI, and it increased the size which makes sense because .AVI Videos are raw video files, if you wanted to compress it you would want it in a .mp4 format, or in .AVI and use the video I linked earlier to compress it without giving up any quality.

what I figures, probably means windows 8

MP4 format is just under 1 gig

Wish canon would hurry up and release the 70d

I been snapping fresh and sexy photos for MONTHS now.

;)

Not that I won't want one when it comes out. The price I got though was just tooooooooo good.

If I ever start shooting weddings again it would make for a good reason to get a second camera right?
