So I'm having the bachelor party coming up soon. I'm looking to get some nice stogies for the event. Godsmack, I know you're the man on stogies, any suggestions?

Padron 1926, Monticresto, Davidoff, or Cohiba would be a good choice.

Just decide how long of a cigar you want, ( a 20, 30, 45 minute cigar? ) Robusto size would be good

Find someone with a medical card, and roll a blunt. :D

I almost exclusively smoke 60ring size stogies. Much much more flavor gets brought out. NUB is a cool stogie. Short but 60-66 or so. Strong, and medium to fullish flava.

More than happy to help brother. But first some basic info will help with suggestions.

Price range per stick?

Need in a day or 2 or in a few weeks? (online/store price will cary GREATLY)

What will be enjoyed with stogies? (whiskey, scotch, beer, etc)

Desired smoke time?

Any food just before or while smoking and if so what?

Activity/activities while smoking?

The reason for the last question is because a smoke for playing craps at the casino for some people is much different than what they will smoke while golfing, and yet much different than what they will be enjoying while shoving dollar bills down a strippers g-string.

Just want to help set the mood correctly.

Anybody have any SOLID reasons to go away from an iPad besides cost and if cost is the only reason what makes the other better for the $$$?

What kind of phone do you have?  If you have an android, IMO You would be better going with a Windows 8 Tablet for compatibility reasons.

I have Android for my operating system now. What parts of compatibility would you be speaking of?

iPads are nice, but if your phone is Droid based, I would personally own a droid. In most cases paid apps will carry over from your phone to your tab and vice versa. Also any free apps will carry over. You can swing your memory card from device to device as well.

Aside from those things there is no reason not to grab an iPad. I am not a fan of the Apple machine, but they make nice personal devices. My mother has had a couple generations of iPads, and they certainly impressed me. Messing around with hers was what led me to snag a Galaxy.

I think what it boils down to is, do you want to spend the extra money? Would you like compatibility between devices (if you also have a droid phone)? Apple, HTC, and Samsung all make solid products and none would be a disappointment.

Samsung really leads the market. I had hopes and dreams for the transformer from Asus. I think mike found out they were problematic. It's too bad, I wanted it to be everything.

Anyway. Samsung's products seem to just get better and better. Costco seems to have them on the cheep all the time too.

i really like my nexus 7

planning to use the pogo pins on the side to do a dash mount in my car

I have owned both. I had a Asus Transformer, but sold it because I was looking for more of a laptop replacement and it didn't work out. I now have an iPad 2 because my mom got one for a safety award at work right after my laptop (that I purchased to replace the Transformer) got stolen. I had considered selling it in order to buy a laptop but I decided not to (mostly because I have a work laptop now).

Based on my experience and your expected usage I would go with the iPad. The iPads apps are much MUCH better than Android's tablet apps. I actually use a few apps just because they actually add a better user experience compared to when I would usually just use the browser. There are some gripes I have with the iPad and that mostly stems from how it handles browsers (wont let you use chrome as a true default and always opens a gimped version of safari when opening links from within mail) but I have quickly been able to work around it. Also, every now and then I do miss the ability to tinker with the Android tablet but for on the go the iPad has the more flawless experience.

Also, you can expect the iPad to have a good resell value if you ever want to get rid of it.

To go off Matt2's post. I would only consider a Samsung device as well at this point for Android. They are killing it right now. I wouldn't own a nexus 7 for the simple fact that Asus made it and they spoiled my taste for them with the Transformer.

The Nexus10 is made by Sammy and has an OMG B-E-Autiful screen. I prefer my Android without a skin and That is the only Samsung without one.

I would spend some time in a store with them to make sure there isn't a feature set between Android and iPad that you couldn't live without.

PS - This post and the previous we're typed on the iPad.

Re-arranged my PC desk and speakers, and holy shit, some much more bass. I can't believe I've been listening to it this way for so long.

I've looked at some 19" widescreens today. They don't cut the mustard, just as tall as my 15" 4:3.

Only widescreen I'd consider is 21" plus, which is $30-50 less than a HP 19" 4:3. I'm buying a used 17" 4:3 to use while I pony up for a new 19" 4:3 LCD.

Death to widescreens!

24" widescreen FTW

So I washed the Camry today.  Second time in a year.
