How unlearned is your guitar?  I understand that you know a couple chords, but what about music in general?  Do you know what the chord consists of?  What is up a 5th from root, down a 5th?  Any scales?

 

Curious as I could write out some stuff for you to start to understand, but I am not sure I am a good one to go back too far as general music shit for me was when I was still in the single digits so laying out what to learn from square 1 would be hard for me.

 

I am also not sure what you mean by a blues chord.  There are really just chords.  Base ones include 3 notes.  More complex add notes like: 7, major 7, 6, 2 ,9, 13 etc.  Obviously major and minor positions of each.

I will be starting from square one. The blues scale is the only thing I remember. The intro to sweet child of mind is in the blues scale. I am sure a lot will come back to me once in motion.

Normally I would agree with you Ryan. In this case though the content is on par. As it's an OBDII book, the contents are sensor values, things that confuse sensors and test procedures. That and about half the book is just a code key for all the different makes. Sure I could google everything in this book, but is nice to have all the content in one place. Really nice when working in the field. I have had the OBD book for 15 years, and has been very helpful.

Started an oral regiment of prednisone today. Hopefully will get my eczema into remission.

Durring our huge sales meeting I made some comments that got my Regional VP excited enough he looked up from his laptop and engaged us as a group.

Late I found out he pulled one of our district managers asside to ask questions about me, my role, history, and trajectory.

Ecstatic considering I was just shy of delirious on sinus meds.

Don't use the "blues" scale.  Somewhat pointless.  It's the reason that 60's rock was boring.

 

It is the first position of the Pentatonic though (with an extra) note and that is very useful.

Keep putting yourself in the spot Matt.  A move or two more and you will be in a GREAT position to transition if you want.

And now that I am not in a hot tub typing on my phone, lol. My washer overflowed upstairs, water ran downstairs. Sub was facing up in a box. Water collected on the cone and sat in the sub for a couple days as I was out of town and my wife didn't see it. Discoloration on the center of the cone with no functionality troubles. Comedy of errors, but it is otherwise fine and mechanically perfect.

I picked up the supplys to rebuild the front deck yesterday. I decided to skip the trex. Mostly bc I hate when houses dont have uniformity. Since I wasn't going to do the back deck. Plus I would rather spend the money remodeling my kitchen. Anyways heres the front deck. The rake on the stairs is fucked, WAY to steep. One of my biggest pet peeves is stairs that are not laid out right. 

I bought some crazy textured paint for the flat. Was originally going to just do the non skid, but this stuff should last longer.
