May 17, 201510 yr Hopefully the ground will dry up by the time I get off..Got me 8 hot banana pepper plants.Plants are maybe 4"high and already have 2" peppers.lol
May 17, 201510 yr I love lamb.Whoever doesn't is retarded.Guess that makes me 100% retard!you've just never had it prepared worth a shit Gyro, mmmm
May 17, 201510 yr The escape is the most affordable car. We can find a HUGE amount of Escapes in the $16K-$20K range.that is the old body style then and a horrible car. The new one is WAY better2013+
May 17, 201510 yr I'd second the 3 series. Unless you are starting to pop off babies fuck the SUV.SUV is a for sure. No human babies yet, but we have 2 60lb+ pups and we want to buy something that does have room for the human kiddo in about 1.5-2 years.I'll have to re-look at those vehicles. I think the SRX may be too small for us. I thought the CX5 was, but after looking at some other vehicles yesterday it may not be. The biggest problem I have with the Volvo is that UGLY center console in the years that we can afford. Seriously. a keypad in a car is ridiculous.I'm 6'2 400 pounds. My ! Dog weighs more than your 2 dogs and then add an extra 25 pounds. We fit better in the 3 than any SUV until you get to full size. The 3 series sedan has more room than everything you mentioned. There is no small SUV that will fit your needs. A traverse or edge could work, but they suck.

The new one is WAY betterThe interior and looks are horrible on the new one. Worst fit for my body of every car we tried. The new Taurus is horrible too. Huge, but I feel more cramped than in the Ford fusion.Mike if you think you need some kind of back door room like a small SUV, get a Ford focus. Easily more room than any of the vehicles you mentioned. My roommates ST fit (in its packing boxes) a squat rack, heavy bench, Olympic bar, curl bar, leg extension and preacher curl set up in his car. Also 150+ pounds or weight. One trip.
May 17, 201510 yr Man the hail storm really hit our area a lot more than I thought.$21K in damages to the house.$4K in damages to the truckTotaled the carSo now we are really in the market for a new (to us) vehicle. Our absolute top dollar is $20K sell price. This will keep us in the budget for taxes, etc....We went car shopping today. Our wants are as follows.2012+ - This is based on mostly an age/mileage ratio. That and a lot of vehicles we like have made major strides in the last few years.Leather - We have dogs and it's nice to have one area that won't pick up hair like crazy.25+ MPG Highway (preferred) - This will be our trip vehicle. I want to be able to get 25+ on the highway when I drive pretty much how I want................200+ HP (my dream)We ended up driving a new Santa Fe, used Escape, new Rav 4 and new CRV.(new = high end features)We liked the Santa Fe and price of the Escapes (that we see online). The Santa Fe's 2.4L is okay, we didn't drive the 2.0T, though I'm sure I would love it. My wife really like the RAV 4, but we were also in the top tier interior package and I think that helped.I wanted to see if you guys had any comments on the Santa Fe or Escape. Also, is there anything that you would look at in our price range?I'd throw the year out the window. Instead focus on what you need.As for your 25mpg, none of your choices reach that. Keeping dreaming if you think you will in a non-diesel sport ute.The CRV is a POS, the RAV4 a boring dyke car, the Escape REALLY overpriced (not sure how you found a new body style for $20k, we priced one out above 40 new), and the Sante Fe is the best buy in that bunch.I haven't driven a new Escape, but have mine is a 2011 limited loaded with everything but AWD. I hate it. I only bought it for the equity. Paid $9K for it, selling it for 14. They do hold resell fairly well, but I can't see why. Mine at a dealer right now would be $18K! That's absurd! I can't speak on the 13+,but if you're finding them that cheap, I'd stay away.
May 17, 201510 yr And contrary to what Sean posted, the Escape will EASILY get you 25+ highway. I do 21-23 in the city and 30s highway FWD with the 3L, so the ecoboost in the new one should get you there no problem.
May 17, 201510 yr There are no reliable smallish SUVs for under $20k within 500 miles of me.And an actual "small SUV" as in smaller than an explorer is usually a waste of space. The ergonomics are wrong and so much space is wasted. I don't think you are as tall as me so that will help, but then in a well designed sedan you will get 3 times the benefit of being shorter. The small sedan turns into a mid size for you then.
May 17, 201510 yr G37Also better than everything on the list by MILESThat car is the best value in luxury and performance out there on the used market IMHO.Room, 300hp, reliable and cheep to fix(compared to German and all its turbo competition), looks good, and AWD.I don't know much about Lexus, but I could also recommend most of those as an option and feel safe.Maybe they aren't exciting, but the G37 will have miles more room than anything in the SUV category you are looking at.
May 17, 201510 yr I know before he went back to NY, Mark had a SantaFe. I liked that suv, and he had decent room in it. He seemed to enjoy driving it as well.J
May 17, 201510 yr We went to 3 dealerships and 20+ cars before I could talk the wife out of a micro SUV.Thankfully they cost too much or else I would have one.Our 3 series had 32k miles all the options, and one of the best engines ever made. No turbo, has xDrive, and one of the best entertainment systems...Anyway, you gotta do what you gotta do, but I would put any kids I was kicking up in my car or the wife's and feel much safer than in a santafe or similar.
May 17, 201510 yr As for the car/suv/truck argument, I personally refuse to have an actual car for a daily driver anymore. With how shitty the drivers are down here (wrong way on the highway anyone??), the unpredictable weather, and purely as a personal safety factor I will stick to a truck or bigger suv.J

With how shitty the drivers are down here (wrong way on the highway anyone??), the unpredictable weather, and purely as a personal safety factor I will stick to a truck or bigger suv.JThat's an ok thought, but the truth is safety is vehicle dependent and size doesn't always matter. An example is the santefe crash rating. Same as the BMW. The BMW will stop, turn, brake and accelerate better, and carries less momentum. Of course I would rather be in an F350 with brush guards and all that if someone does hit me, but it doesn't always reflect overall safety or likelihood of a crash.

I've been looking for 04 Ls430s for tge past two years and all I come across below $20K have 100K miles.
May 17, 201510 yr I would love to find an 08-09 335i manual coupe with low miles! Turbo swap and tube and vam, 450HP, reliably.

May 17, 201510 yr The funniest part of having a BMW is people think it's some trophy. I paid less for my vehicle than a big chunk of my associates. My wife has one of the lowest cost cars when we go to any family event, and everyone thinks we are just swimming in it, or pissing it away. It's interesting how people react when you have a certain kind of car.
