My neighbor just lost 20 pounds in the past 3 weeks. Down to like 160 or so. He was complaining that his new "cleanse" diet takes forever to cook for. I asked him what he was eating and it is all out of some book. Described what it was, Meat, Veggies, Fruit, and Carbs. ROFL. Basically nothing processed. Said that he and his wife spend 2 hours a day prepping for the next day before bed.

So in a few weeks when they get tired of prepping all day they'll revert back.

amusing part is it sounds like my diet, but I cook every meal from scratch every day

Tonight's table is 100% from the farmers market.

Tomatoes, kohlrabi, cucumber, beets, yellow squash,zucchini and a rack of lamb. All grilled or are. Bottle of can I bought 8 years ago

Getting to the fucking GM connector was a bitch...until I got aggressive and took EVERYTHING fucking off.  Was going to solder...didn't feel like pulling all the shit out and contorting myself and in the end HIGHLY regretted not doing what I was going to do in the first place.

 

Either way, worked first time....or at least the Joycon recognizes all of my button pushes.  Now I get to figure out how to map them to toggle and such.  I would have done that up front, but the icons are teeny and with a touchscreen only thought I'd wait to grab a mouse.

I really need a good and easy way to pickle some veggies...That does not take a shit load of time preparing..I have cucumbers,Okra,and so far a gallon size freezer bag of hot banana peppers that I would like to pickle..Peppers I can freeze and the will be a boat load more I have 6 banana pepper plants they produced a few here and there for the past couple of months...Now they have 40-50 fixing to come out of the wood work on each plant "all at once" ..No beets this year but if I can find a good and easy way to pickle them I will try planting some next year

I LOVE this engine! Going to order a forged rotating assembly and shoot for 9K. The current tune cuts out at 7.8 and the bitch still pulls with the Boss intake.

Hopefully I can get next week off and get on a dyno and check the tune fully.

Ordered a Roush grill kit and OEM foglights to move them to the lower corners.

I need to build some ramps too as neither of my low profile jacks fit under the car.

The soccer moms want MPGs. I'd hate to see the price on that too! The Sport is $50K+, so I imagine the Coyote would push it into Shelby territory.

Well, I think like the Mullard 12AX7 preamp tube better than my Telefunken. The Telefunken got a little confused with fast, hard information, like metal music. The forward midrange/vocals could also get fatiguing. The Mullard is more laid back, with nearly, but not quite as much extension as the Telefunken. The soundstage on the Mullard is far more expansive, but the image is a tad more compressed, with less air and seperation.

 

The Telefunken is much better with more subtle recordings. Norah Jones, Sarah McLaughlin and other female vocals love the Telefunken's forward midrange. Pink Floyd is right at home with the overall presentation of the Telefunken, but their use of a big soundstage definitely favors the Mullard. I was listening to The Wall Pt 2 and the kids voices as they scream on the playground literally made me look over my shoulder with the Mullard. I had to chuckle at such a physical reaction to the soundstage.

 

Overall I think the Mullard will stick with the amp for a while, and as cheap as they are I will buy several more for when they go microphonic. I will likely give the Telefunken some more time to burn in, as the midrange is pulling back with time, but the Mullards are serious pre amp tubes for only ~$15.

 

The bummer is, the Mullard is the worst looking tube I have seen. The heaters are inside the plates, and the plates are closed off. There is nearly zero tube glow when they are running. When I first turned it on I didn't think it was any good because there was no warm glow. Oh well, form after function.
