I never get offended I actually think it is funny most of the time the comments made to me.But if I make comment or point out peoples mistakes then I am disrespectful and such.That I don't understand much.I have friends that are like that outside of the webz..They like to play play play and pick pick all the time the when the table is turned they get pissed and wan't to pout.

Gonna grab a drone, but a toy grade drone, not a super high end drone. I'm hoping someone here can help lead me in the right direction.

 

Why? I just want to play a bit. It will be nice to fly over my fields and look for foxes, coyotes, rabbits, etc to see if it is worth packing up my gun to go shoot. And because they offer cool views.

 

Goals; Wind resistance, ease of use, I prefer headless mode to learn with, but that is not a game changer and it is not available on the unit that currently tops my list. I prefer the radio to be mode 2. I want small and quiet, as I will be looking for game with it. I want minimum of 60 meter range, and I need a decent video camera. I don't care about FPV, but I think that would be a cool feature. I want to keep my first unit under $200... in fact, I prefer under $150.

 

Any suggestions?

Yeah. I grabbed the 4 blade cutter head straight shaft accessory.

 

It is a fucking monster. But it is a brush cutter, not a grass cutter. It will tear grass to shreds rather than cut it cleanly.

 

I have a tree out back that constantly grows shoots out of the ground. I usually hack them down with a chainsaw 2 times a year. I will see shoots anywhere from 1/2 inch to an inch in diameter. The 4 blade tore through it easily.

 

You will want to get the appropriate guard for it. When I bought my unit I grabbed the straight shaft string trimmer attachment and the 4 blade cutter head, as well as a couple different string heads. My salesman told me that he suggested I buy the straight shaft cutter and the string heads. The cost was exactly the same, but the brush cutter shaft had an extra guard on it. Apparently if you have the blade rolling full steam and hit a rock it can break apart and the shrapnel can be dangerous. Like I said, my cost was exactly the same, so it wasn't like he gained anything from selling it like that, so I went the safe route.

 

You can grab the brush cutter guard from your dealer to throw on the string trimmer shaft.

 

That is the guard and the cutter. You can see how far the guard protrudes down over the standard string cutter guard. That is the fix cut trimmer head on the shaft. It is my favorite of the 3 heads I have.

Not that I know of I'd use the hedge trimmer for trimming the trees. Put it on the long shaft extension and you have a 9 foot hedge trimmer.

Auto feed or tap feed? Stihl offers both. I like the fixed head so far.

So I go to the local hobby shop and look at drones. Lots of cool big pretty drones and even super tiny ones. I'm ready to chuck down about $500 on this beautiful rig... I saw shiny, carbon fiber, mean looking motherfucker and had dreams of dropping bombs on Isis from my bed room. I had this amazing controller in my hand and drool running out of my beard.

 

The dude behind the counter started asking me questions, and was WAY the fuck over my head. He says, "You're pretty new at this, aren't you?". So I was found out. He showed me several more entry level units, but I kept going back to the carbon fiber demon sitting on the shelf just waiting for me to assemble it. He even steered me away from a camera. What the fuck? Sorry, but you may think you sound smart telling me I need to learn how to fly before worrying about cameras and leading me to the sub $100 units while Isis is running around free because you are leading me away from my stealth bomber over there.

 

So to make a long story short, I still wanted nicer than he suggested, but I went ahead and grabbed an Ares Ethos QX130. While it was nowhere near as awesome as Tiamat over there, I saw he was thinking of ways to keep me from bombing his fellow camel jockey, suicide bombing, brethren. That's OK, I have an Amazon Visa card.

 

Of course, I am awesome and don't need to read a manual. I just plugged in the battery and charged it up, dropped that bitch in the unit and brought it outside. It spools up fast, and it was off the ground in a flash. As soon as it was off the ground, I got nervous as it pitched, and jerked the throttle down and towards me, causing it to lurch, spin, and smash headlong into the ground. After ~15 attempts at launching I got her flying like a sexy mug. Up, up, up, up... holy shit, how do I slow this down? Spinning, diving, lurching, heading toward power lines, trees... Almost out of view. I was getting a bit more comfortable, but there is a lot more to flying this thing than I thought. So I brought it in and out a few times. It flies a lot further than I thought.

 

So, cockbreath here decides to try to be tricky. I burst up in the air off the ground and slam the trim back... oops, it was facing me when it took off, so it flies backwards into a power line and smashes into a big, bushy, evergreen. Oh yeah... about 40 feet off the ground. Can I get her out? Nope.

 

5 minutes of flying led to 1 hour of trying to get my ass up the tree, throwing bottles of water (there are now almost a dozen bottles stuck in the tree) before finally thinking about using one of my pool nets to knock it out of the tree. I am covered with sweat, blood, needles, small branches and twigs, and shame.

 

Glad I didn't buy that B1 bomber... I think Isis might have survived my first flight, but I might not have.

I seen on a local news website the other day someone was arested for shooting one down that was hovering over their house.

Man I am so fucking stressed out!! My mother is going to the Mayo Clinic for testing like for a week..She has a neurological disorder I am still fucking confused what it is..auto immune of some sort losing her movement in hands and walking..ect.. I am still fucking lost..One minute she is saying if it is what she thinks it is life span is only any were from 18 months to five years,So I don't know what the fuck to think..she has been in the medical field since age 22 and is 59 and about 2 years ago the neurologist took her off work.She tells me she is scared to death to know the out come of her trip..I try to tell her to look at the positive outcome of the trip but she gets defensive then starts telling me more negative things that could be wrong..Honestly I know they are a issue but I think she has it in her head it is worse than it is..So I have no fucking clue what to say,I live my life day for day some may disagree but I will not sit and weep today on something that might happen tomorrow.You are not promised tomorrow,the next hour,minute,ect ect..I honestly feel a lot of this is in her head and sometimes I think she has become a hypochondriac talking to her sometimes.I always try to keep her positive but no matter what we are talking about it ends up about how sick she is..IDK I needed to vent sorry..
