That is awesome, nothing like stepping up and taking care of kids who need it. Then having fun with them and showing them love is the greatest thing in the world.

Instead of working late tonight I decided to call it a early day today and go in for a few in the morning.I wish I would have knocked ot all out today.Just my luck I cant sleep.

I've never had hamburger helper.  I've made "similar" things, but it is pretty easy to read the spice label on it and add what you want.  You could call my taco's hamburger helper really, but my taco "packet" has no product in them that is not a single item.  (ie zero processing)  

 

Home made BBQ's and such are the same.

 

Not sure what about any of them would be good, but it isn't really much harder to do whatever it is from scratch.

 BBQ above meant sloppy joe.  Regionally a wee bit different.

Understood. I've made my own sauce for that as well as used the 'Manwhich' stuff. I much prefer making my own. Same with pasta sauce.

You know it is humid outside when you walk out in the morning and it feels like it is lite raining "misting" but it is not.

I made some sloppy joe's from scratch a few days ago tried a way a chick told me.All I used was .

ketchup

Table spoon of yellow mustard

Mater sauce

diced maters "drained"

minced garlic

Couple of table spoons of brown sugar

And of course cooked ground beef with onions and bell pepper and simmered for a bit.

It really suprized me tasted way better then the sloppy joe in a can.

Now my curiosity is piqued. What "flavor" of them is good/edible?

Stroganoff is goooooooood. But doesn't taste like stroganoff.

Honestly Sean they are all tastey for the most part. I'm a salt and umami addict so they stuff was made for me.

I don't use the packages anymore as I usually make my own spice blend. The helper still tastes good however.

It tastes good the same way ramen noodles taste good.

Seriously? I've seen an ad for that stud before and thought it was a joke. Didn't realize it was a real product more of an as seen on tv.

Funny because even if you only Brown the shit out of hamburger and are boring and deglaze with water, add some diced onion, a wee bit of mustard, and ketchup to taste you'll have sloppy Joes that at better than I've ever had in a restaurant.
