I have to ask a serious question here, do you believe opening your own business is a smart move in the current economic state? I ask because I am eligable for th VA small business loan, and I Starting to think that at this point in my life I would prefer to just run a damn liquor store (with employees mind you) than much else. I have surveyed the local area and there is a great area for a liquor store as there is none near by, rent in these stores isn't too bad, and they have ample parking.

Am I off my damn rocker for thinking about this?

The soup was fine, but what we all brought was hilarious.

 

It was a group of guys from work, 1 was the host, 1 is single, 1 recently divorced and 2 have wifes that are teachers with Parent Teacher conferences all week (so we were on our own).

 

One guy brought tortillas, cheese and butter and made little half cheese quesadillas, one brought cheese bread ordered from Pizza Hut, I brought chips and dip, and one brought Keebler Fudge stripe cookies and some kind of mini cookies.

 

It was hilariously sad.

I should have guessed.  Chicken soup + tomatoes & chile.  Thought perhaps it would be more SW'y.

 

Sad indeed....in particular that somewhat thought that anything Keebler is even edible.

My brother's icon RIP'd. Voice coil probably turned into a slinky. I regret installing the remote gain up front. Not sure if he'll want to recone again or upgrade. The cost of sending the sub from Michigan to me in Illinois to recone it probably isn't worth it.

The bl 12 looks out of scale compared to the other, and I'm curious as to why. It looks as it should in the SPL graph. 

I should point out that all the subs are modeled in the same enclosure (2.5ft3 @ 30hz) which was build for the Icon. I comparing potential replacements. If he is melting voice coils than I like to recommend something with a bit more thermal power handling like an xcon, fi bl w/ options, fi ssd w/ options, etc.
