DMT. 15 minutes is all you need.

Even smarter. I need to get me some.

Grabbed up 2 more Rush records yesterday; Hemispheres and 2112. That means I have all their epics on vinyl. I'm generally not a huge fan of Rush, but I do love their ability to play. Their epics afford them a ton of time to show off their abilities. My favorites are "The Necromancer" and "The Fountain of Lamneth" with kick ass drum interludes and guitar interludes. It's amazing how pucking good Alex Lifeson was so early in his career.

Anyways, after Hemispheres Rush started with the more radio friendly short songs they are so well known for, of which there are very few records they have worth buying IMO. There are a few great songs, but not like the epics.

Epics (for those interested):

"The Necromancer"- Caress of Steel- 12:34

"Fountain of Lamneth"- Caress of Steel- 19:58

"2112"- 2112- 20:34

"Cygnus X- Book II: Hemispheres"- Hemispheres- 18:08

"La Villa Strangiato (An Exercise in Self-Indulgence)"- Hemispheres- 9:35

The center 3 comprise the entire side of their perspective album.

I know nothing about Rush.  It was something that I never experienced.

Thanks for the rec, maybe I'll get some exposure.

Try spotify or some other service. I am not a big fan of Geddy Lee's voice, but as a group they may be the most technical and talented rock musicians ever assembled. This is 70s hard rock, so ignore some of the cheesy interludes common in the era, and check out the real music.

I like Caress of Steel. By far it is their worst received album ever, but 2 of my favorite Rush songs (the epics listed above) are on it. It was released in 1975 and only reached gold (500,000 sales) in 1993... 18 years to sell 1/2 a million albums. It was such a failure that many thought it was the end of Rush.

I like the musicianship and dynamics. They sound amazing through the analog rig.

Aaron and anyone else who's been in the region: anything seriously wrong with the Waldorf/Brandywine region?

It has improved somewhat.  A little bit of DC outlying money has made its way down there.  Are you headed that way?

Hopping for good news Monday pertaining to my garage.

Could possible be the PA headquarters for SSA and SSA Racing!

That would be awesome.

In the past few days I have learned that Maryland hates bridges.

Like, seriously hates them. Holy shit.

What do you mean?  They are all over the pucking place near the water. Haha.  One of the longest bridges in the world is on the eastern shore.

Alexandria, VA is definitely within the realm of possibility. Plus no pesk MD gun laws.

It is definitely one of the places to be.  Wink Wink nudge nudge, say no more.

Great money, everything spanking new, not over run by chains, better taxes than MD, and loads of young professionals.  Though you have to deal with out of control VA cops and cost of living is actually higher there than here.

I recently moved back to very heavy circuits, and holy crap, serious carb depletion issues now.

Turning new people on to SSA. You should be receiving an order for an ICON at some point.

That is a thing.  I didn't eat after leg day... Just skipped one meal and it turned into abdominal cramps so bad I couldn't eat or drink for about 12 hours.

National ran out of econoboxes so they gave me a TSI Jetta. Torquesteers like a bastard but it's fun to flog
