UsbC is worth changing to.  Everything will go that route.

My g4 is wireless. $4 antenna on eBay...

Do your research on USB C cables, they are not all the same, and it seems like all the cheap ones are wrong.  

I'm super excited for USB c but Im holding off on adopting it.

I look forward to the day when my smartphone tablet and laptop are USB c powered.

While that is true there are plenty that do work with multiple devices.

I expect next gen yoga, spectre x360 and so on to share with phones and tablets nicely

The one problem I had with my Note 7 was it was a type C.  I appreciate the moving forward with cables and everything, but it was the odd thing out for me.  

I also had to buy a special adapter to get my FLIR One module to work with it, most of the C to B adapters were wired wrong for it.  

 

Turns out the cable was the least of the Note 7 problems.  I know on paper they are very similar but the S7 sucks compared to the Note 7.  

There is some proprietary possibilities in the "standard"  but unlike the Sony bs it seems the manufacturers are starting to wise up.

I have nothing nice to say about Samsung though.  They are the Apple of the Android world and I don't like it.

Thinking about getting a pixel for my wife.  She doesn't need an extra battery or ssd card so it is somewhat perfect.

My phones are limited to water/dust proof otherwise I'll kill them.  I'd like the full rugged versions, but on Verizon that is only Kyocera and I want a better camera.

I am trying to sneak a pic of my neighbor however as she might be the single hottest woman I've ever seen in person.  Conveniently right at me looking forward for dinner but a loud shutter and picture is a different story.

Perhaps a bias.  She is speaking French.
