February 28, 20178 yr Walked to breakfast this morning, feeling like a boss. Started raining, but I'm a boss, so I grab my jacket.... That I left in my other bag.... Definitely not a boss.
March 1, 20178 yr Some spring maintenance to the boys 4runner. Cut the paint in 2 stages and then used paint sealer. Looking good for 2003.
March 1, 20178 yr I've been in 3 tornados in my life. In fact one it was crazy wind and rain with an eery, sudden calm. A couple minutes later, all hell breaks loose. It just got eerily calm here out of nowhere.

March 1, 20178 yr Damn link doesn't work on my phone. I'm hoping it's Mirror Glaze 21. If so, I've been using that for years and it's great! I'm just ready for something longer-lasting and I'm going to try ceramic.

March 1, 20178 yr The garage has raised my property taxes $150.00 per year. I am quite happy with that.
March 1, 20178 yr 12 hours ago we had storms, tornados, and 60s. Right now, windy AF, 20s, and a sleet/snow mix. I can't take it anymore!

March 2, 20178 yr If you get a 30 yr loan on a house in Texas, you will likely give the government over 70% of the value of your home before paying it off.

Or are you correcting for the inflation of the house value adding more in later years than now? That would kill me if we had that. I was under the impression ours are high (1-1.5% depending on area)...
March 2, 20178 yr $175,000 house had $4000 in taxes. Now Texas has no income tax, you pay a flat $70 each year for vehicle registration and no other property tax. My uncle had a lake house he sold because he was spending $20,000 a year on property taxes. My buddies wife is a property tax accountant. She's a few years out of school and she makes $80K making sure her company pays property taxes on time...
March 2, 20178 yr Admin MD taxes are horrendous, but the current Governor is working on it from what I understand.
