Sean do you buy spices locally like at Penzy's or online? If online who do you use?

I find the ones at the coops to be the freshest. Bulk baby. Nice that they are cheaper as well. As always, buy whole and grind fresh. Other spices are more effected than pepper and pre-ground pepper is useless. Somewhat akin to coffee. You've got about an hour once ground.

Figured I'd add pictures and make a thread

Makes me feel useful

I really really hope this other rheumatologist has some better advice, or a better plan for me. Some days are getting rough.
I fell you Matt, my mother, brother, and sister both have those kinds of illness.

Matt (can I call you Matt, I'm still pretty new here) you have my sympathy, my mom struggled with arthritis for years, it really, really sucked to see her in pain like that.

I agree about whole vs ground, I don't follow it too often though. Because of habit and my knowledge of cooking with dried and ground vs fresh or whole dried. I think I will advise the wife to buy whole spices when she can. Force myself the change. I used a lot of onion and garlic pkwder which I knw you are not?so keep on.

Thanks for the tip on the co-op. I didn't think of going there.

I just saw the last page. Thanks for the well wishes. I will be ok I think. Medicine has come a long way.

I get a little down on bad days.

Slow h0p again tonight.

Accidentally navigated to the wrong Raddison on the way back from dinner tonight. I knew something was up when I didn't cross the river back into Il but somehow ended up at my "destination".

On the way back I told my GPS, "I got this..." and ended up testing out the awd on the Rav4 when I got lost.

I shop lakewinds, but wedge, Seward are both more than acceptable and frequent stops for me as well. Op and go are WAY better there too but should be reserved for rubs

Medicine took the W from sick for 2 years, to in the hospital and unable to eat food to "normal" in short order, modern medicine is awesome. Awesomely expensive too, but when its this awesome, it just doesn't matter a damn bit how much it costs.

Yup. I am going to make the doc try some pai meds first to see if I can get active and fight the inflammation with working out. "Naturally"

Second hope is for biologics. Like that golfer you see on TV is.

Unfortunately the first line of defense is methyltrexate (sp). Aka low dose chemo. Along with corticosteroids. I want those to be the LAST line.

We shall see.
