December 5, 201311 yr Also, any chance I can get some help on this guys? I am taking the little lady with me to NY for Christmas, and she doesn't have any real winter boots. Living in FL as you can imagine makes finding any instore a real PITA. Any reccomendations on something to keep her feet warm and dry? Trying not to spend a ton of money, but want them to look nice, and don't mind waterproofing myself. JDon't need any for a short trip.
December 5, 201311 yr Cut some stainless today.Nice!Very cool! Thanks guys, this a secret project.Always the best project.J
December 5, 201311 yr She's from AZ so being outside in anything for more than a little bit under 50 and she is frozen. Should be running and shit in the snow, as well as walking around and possibly standing at a bills game. Won't be even close to NYC, rather on the western side of the state. 800+ for round trip tickets plus a renta ride for a week or so and yea it's cheaper to drive. MUCH cheaper. Plus it's nice to see more of the country. JNothing comfortable for walking will be warm at a Bills game.
December 5, 201311 yr I wish seafood was palatable to me. Sushi looks good to me, but has never tastedgood at all.JYou don't eat fish??? I'd understand if you said you won't eat chicken, but seriously fish?I have yet to EVER find seafood palatable besides popcorn shrimp in small doses which I do not consider real seafood.J

I know me, i can get by with a pair of thick socks and my old combat boots just fine, but her I worry about.J
December 5, 201311 yr Curious what about it you don't like?Mainly the smells and the texture. That 'fishy' smell or the smell of tuna turnes my stomach a bit and kills any interest in it.I have had fried haddock, large mouth bass and cod in the past and that with a shit ton of lemon and a beer batter is ok at best.J

Ice fishing requires WAY more boot than snowmobiling too. Standing on cold ground is rough. Even still I don't think she "needs" boots. Waste of money IMO. Good socks and shoes that don't soak water yes. Not like you are really going to be outside that long. For the game, bring hand warmers and have her put them on her feet and hands.

If the smell of tuna is a problem I bet that it is canned and NO ONE should eat that. Not even cats. Curious, smell of 1 day old chicken in the garbage doesn't make you run from chicken forever? Go out and have a piece of Halibut at a real restaurant. Then realize ANY fish can taste like that. By the way, if there is a smell it is poorly handled. Akin to letting chicken rot in the sun for a some hours. No way, no how am I interested in that shit.
December 5, 201311 yr I am seriously curious what you eat though. Fun exercise to write down everything different you've eaten in a month. When you look at this list you may cry.
