Alright guys, the first time I painted the wall was with some interior gloss paint. The issue here was there were some spots where it was actually still wet... even after 4 months of sitting. I'm somewhat weary on what paint I should use now to repaint the wall. Are there any suggestions to paint it with? We painted it in my heated garage ~70 degrees and some parts were still gooey under the bottom. We did light coats of it and it still happened..

Suggestions?

I'm thinking about stripping all of the paint on the inside, but I wasn't sure how? Would chemical strippers be the best? It's mostly birch on the inside.

If you get paint stripper on your carpet it's gonna eat it.

I've always just using exterior latex. You have to make sure it's stirred well or sometimes it won't dry completely. That may have been your problem.

Or it was too cold.

How old was the paint? Latex is water-based so it should have been completely dry in a matter of days even in the cold.

My paint of choice for something like this would be a catalyzing paint, but you can get similar results cheaply using enamel. I would add some hardener to it for increased durability and quick dry times. If you have a Rural King nearby, they sell a good cheap enamel by Majic along with hardeners.

It took me a while to figure out you werd talking about a wall in a car. I was think"WTF you don't pain your livingroom with gloss".

Roflmao

I agree on the enamel suggestion.

I think you should use waterproof paint or some other kind of wallpaper paint which also protect your wall to get wet. In markets there are many kind of paint verity availble which provide the same solutions.
