Posted April 5, 200619 yr For everyone buying our new etreme subs, we had 3M develope a new adhesive that will handle 28 degrees more temp than the normal adhesives used by other companies. We actually spend almost $400.00 dollars a gallon for this glue. In the gift product box there is a break in period warning that states 40 hours. This is correct for the moving parts to relax but the recomended break in should be initally done in the first hour of the install. Play the syetem at 2/3 volume for 30 minutes to heat coil. shut system off and allow to cool completely. At this point the adhesive has been activated and set. the moving parts will still take some time but you can hammer the subs once the thermal activation has been acheived. enjoy the product and send feed back on any product as your opinion means alot to Powerbass as we continually try to improve our products.sincerely,Ron WigginsEastern Regional Sales Mgr.Powerbass USA
June 3, 200619 yr eeehhh.....I dunno about that 2/3 volumne thing. we just toasted a set breaking them in like that. I went against my better judgement & poof! so when we get them back, I'll break em in like the old XS's, & let y'all know (BTW the ols XS's were in this setup, & we swapped for the 3XL's)
