June 20, 201312 yr Author Got the piece of 747 for my amp rack......I may get more elaborate later but this different anyway
June 20, 201312 yr Author Next task is finish everything I need in the back to solid mount the box. Then the amp rack can be officially started.Im gonna throw down hard on that once I make headway.
June 20, 201312 yr Author Yea I jumped on her getting involved....lolI told her we got plenty more.....gotta get the other one in on it....besides washing it.
June 20, 201312 yr Love the progress!Any concern over that egg crate foam in the door retaining moisture?
June 20, 201312 yr Author Kinda just comes with territory. Tent spray and maintenance doesnt really bother me.
July 2, 201312 yr Author Just tucking everything away before final mounting of the enclosure and beginning of the amp rack.......workin out alright so farGot a piece of trailing edge flap off the 747 for an amp rack base....not real elaborate but different I guess.....
July 5, 201312 yr Author Took my day off to tackle the drivers side. Just gotta mount the power run and I wont have to go back under there.
August 1, 201312 yr Author Im kind of at a stall. Odds and ends I can do til Toolmaker is done. Which is taking way longer than I thought it would....lolGetting the Minotaur is its own process right now too.Its gonna be casual for a bit.
August 1, 201312 yr love getting caught up on your stuff. been mia for over a month and come back to seeing one of the cleanest installs around. keep it up big guy
August 2, 201312 yr Author Thanks!Ive gotten some more recent inspirations I wanna integrate. Some of it is already applied but this is my study.....lol
August 2, 201312 yr Author Gonna be some aluminum replacing plastic Im thinkin.Im thinkin a matte gray plasti one of these days on the exterior.Id really like to have the body to look riveted together. So share ideas. If it evolves enough as concept I actually have been debating installing actual rivets. That will be a very extensive mod but will really set the theme off.
August 2, 201312 yr Author Ive seen the fake rivets for model train use..I picture the same approach. Its just finding that thing to execute it. Round 1 should be removeable. If it has to cost too much real rivets will be installed.
August 2, 201312 yr Author Oh and that power run.......every clamp is 6" dead nuts and the maximum amount of tape wraps under each one allowed by Boeing Standard.....its pretty cool
August 2, 201312 yr The details are amazing. While I'm sitting here hating my Malibu I can't help but think of how yours will end up. Great work man.
